**🏛️ WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?** Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and building a community. All with no ‘official’ philosophy knowledge required! 😎 Practical Philosophy is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to all, and not something reserved only for academics. Each week we choose a topic, and the goal is to use the conversation to develop our critical thinking and communication as we explore that topic. The goal is to help develop our Critical Thinking, Communication, and Community 🙌 📓 **HOW DOES IT WORK?** Each week, we pick one topic and discuss it. The topic for the week is shared, generally in the [Whatsapp group](https://tally.so/r/EkNAll), along with jump-off points to get the conversation going. If the group gets bigger than 10-15 people, we will consider breaking into smaller groups. This way we are able to maintain a conversational flow and ensure everyone has a chance to participate. **General Meeting Agenda** Each Practical Philosophy begins at 7:00p and follows this general timeline: * 7:00-7:15 - People arrive and chat, get to know each other before the ‘official' start. * 7:15-7:25 - Explanation of Practical Philosophy and the topic for the week, review the discussion guidelines so attendees know what to expect. * 7:25-8:45 - Main discussion on the selected topic - allow the conversation to evolve organically and/or use the ‘jump-off’ questions as prompts to guide the conversation. It’s not obligatory to answer them. * 8:45-9:00 - Wrap up and closing thoughts. Organizer concludes the meeting and everyone takes a group photo. * 9:00 - The official meeting is over but it’s a great opportunity to get to know people in a non-structured environment, so we often stick around, chat, and get to know each other. **🧧PRICING?** Practical Philosophy Club is FREE to attend! Hey Everyone! 👋 Join me for the **final concert of the summer series at One Colorado Pasadena!** 🌅🎶 Come out on **Friday, August 28th** for a relaxed evening of **Caught a Ghost**, featuring soulful **indie electro-soul, R&B, funk, and groove** at **Sunset Sessions \| Live Music & Libations in Old Town Pasadena**. Mt Langley in one day

Let's hike Mt Langley - the 9th highest 14er in CA - on one long day. It's about 5k' of gain and somewhere over 20 miles RT. You have to have done something like that recently, but this is just a Class 1 hike. We'll spend the night at the Cottonwood Campground (or thereabouts, either tenting or in our cars) and start for the peak early, maybe 3am. We'll hike at a slow to moderate pace, no tigers. I recently did some CO 14ers so I should still be somewhat acclimatized. If you aren't, expect the last part to take some time. Bring the 10 essentials, bottles of oxygen, and your team of bearers and beaters. Everyone gets added to a waiting list. To get off it, leave a comment or send me a DM with a recent similar hike you did.

The Rejuvenation Hang-Out: Refresh & Connect

**Come thrive & vibe! Rejuvenate body & mind with awareness & connection with yourself and others. Expect a beginner Pilates session with influences of Yoga and meditation.** **We gather at 1:30pm, allow some time for chatting and late comers, and then try to start the session within 15/20 minutes.** We start with a brief introduction, then we’ll do a 45-50 minutes session to wake up body and mind, working the core, open up joints and spine with stretching and deep breathing. I will add meditation to enhance a sense of peace and joy and to the liking of the group. **For those who'd like to hang out afterwards to chat-, connect-, and get to know each other better:** We can hang in the park, or we can take a short walk (0.3 mi) to Jackson Market to get something to drink and/or eat. Love this place! It's super cute, can get a little crowded on a Sunday, but I'd say it's definitely worth it. OR We can drive a couple of miles west and take a walk at the beach. **Things to bring:** Water A blanket/towel, and/or yoga mat. If you have a sensitive back or neck; bring something to prop in-under as we will lie down for a bit. An extra sweater… You never know about the weather….. **For the Feet:👣** I suggest you let your feet breathe and ground in the grass whilst in the park…. It’s also the best in order to be able to use your whole foot when doing the exercises. **How to Find Us:** Once you've parked your car around the park or on the side streets, meet us in the park.
