Monkey Canyon Falls Adventure

Monkey Canyon Falls Adventure

Sat, Aug 8, 11:00 PM
From Los Angeles Hiking Group
4.8

the first part of this adventure is very difficult. We will climb down a steep rocky slope with the help of ropes. Do not attempt this if you have not climbed a slope with the help of ropes! We will get wet after we get to the creek, hiking a total of 3 miles. There will be lots of rock scrambling, meaning you will use your arms a lot. We will reach the top of a 25 foot waterfall which some loonies slide down into the pool below. I do not recommend doing this. We will return by climbing the steep 300 feet uphill slope using ropes. This is very strenuous and is considered very difficult. WHERE TO PARK: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/oRJqZxVvfAB9tVaN8](https://maps.app.goo.gl/oRJqZxVvfAB9tVaN8) This on Angeles Forest Highway about 6 miles northeast of Highway 2. If you see Hidden Springs picnic area or go through the tunnel, you have gone too far. The parking lot is all dirt with a big tree in the middle.
