Production Workshop
Wed, Oct 14, 10:30 PM[Please RSVP](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) to ensure you will be able to participate in this free workshop. [Production Basics](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) is a free, hands-on 2-hour workshop that gives you a real introduction to making music from scratch. Hosted in our NYC studios, the session focuses on one core skill: building your first groove and loop. A professional producer walks you through how a beat actually comes together, from picking sounds to laying down patterns to shaping an idea into something that sounds like a track. This is built to give you an honest read on whether music production is a craft you want to pursue further. Small-group format with guided instruction and open practice time. No DAW experience or prerequisites required. However, [RSVP is required.](https://learn.soundcollective.com/courses/production-basics-free-workshop/) Workstations are available on a **first-come, first-served basis**, so we recommend arriving early to secure a spot. If all workstations are taken by the time you arrive, you’re still more than welcome to join the session, observe, and jump on the gear during open practice time!
