Turkish Mosaic Candle Holder Class

Experience Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage as you join a best-selling mosaic lamp workshop to create your very own mosaic lamp or candle holder. Learn traditional art with a contemporary twist as you travel to the ancient lands of Anatolia at Atolya Studio. In their spectacular classes, you will experience a glimpse of the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul as you create a dazzling mosaic lamp or candle holder. During this two-hour workshop, you will learn the techniques of creating stunning Islamic geometric patterns using specially cut and stained mosaic glass tiles to create your very own Turkish mosaic lamp. While you enjoy our complimentary Turkish afternoon tea service, they will guide you through every step of making these dazzling light ornaments that once lit up the Ottoman palaces, giving a magical ambience and glow to your home. Think of it as a creative hub for everyone—from kids discovering the joy of glitter glue to seniors sharing a lifetime of skills. We’d love your help knitting or sewing a "Trauma Teddy" to comfort someone in need. August 2026 Painting Meetup

Please note : Everyone is welcome at the Woollahra Painting Meetup from first time beginners to advanced artists. Our Sunday painting sessions include both group and individual guidance from our regular professional artist and tutor, Christina Rogers. Please bring your own art gear including: a canvas or sketch paper, paints, brushes, easel, cleanup paper, etc. We have tables & chairs for those that don't have an easel. We mostly use oil paints but you are welcome to use whatever paint medium you prefer. Please avoid the use of solvents. If you wish to sketch, please bring pencils or charcoal, etc. Come early to setup around 9:45am as technique training usually happens within the first 1/2 hour from 10:00-10:30am. Hot drinks are available for you to make in the kitchen area. A fee of $25 - is payable on the day. Please bring the right change if possible. We look forward to seeing you!

Hey all, This meetup is scheduled every second Sunday from 3 - 5:30pm. The Dove and Olive serves a delicious Sunday Roast lunch with a vegan option and a full pub menu, so we'll reserve a table for 10. So come for Sunday lunch, a drink or both. Please make sure that you change your RSVP if you won't be able to make it. Please communicate with others on this forum and RSVP promptly and honestly so everyone can check whether there will be people attending each scheduled week. Bring your own yarn materials and ideas! Unfortunately we have had to introduce a voluntary $2 per meeting charge to cover the cost of maintaining Meetup as it has fees every 6 months. July Meetup for the Sydney Nature Journal Club

Come along to our **July meetup for the Sydney Nature Journal Club**. National Tree Day is 26 July. We will explore this theme in the Botanical Gardens. This is a chance to connect, spend some time in nature and journal together. I will offer some guidance to start. After we can share journal pages and ideas. **What to bring:** Bring along sketchbooks/paper and your favourite drawing materials (pens, pencils, watercolour, acrylic, anything you have). I will have extra materials on the day if you want to explore other mediums. \*\*Where:\*\* Botanical Gardens **Cost:** Suggested donation is $10 annual fee, $5 casual fee.
