Sketch the New East River Park!

The East Side Coastal Resiliency Project is a huge initiative that's redesigning the whole east side of lower Manhattan. It's to prevent storm flooding, but it's also giving us refurbished parks. Part of it is now open - let's meet up and sketch it together! **We'll meet at the entrance to Corlears Hook Park, at the corner of Jackson St and Cherry St, in the Lower East Side, Manhattan.** Then we'll walk across the FDR together (don't worry, there's a bridge) into the park to draw. Any problems on the day of the event, I can be reached at 646-831-9816. Looking forward to sketching with you! *** IMPORTANT: In case of rain, I will let people know early in the morning if it is canceled, and then reschedule for another day. *** What makes our Meetups different from other art groups and classes? Instructed Drawing Night at the Met focuses on charcoal pencil drawing through close study of the museum’s Greek and Roman figure sculptures. Our instructor, Elizabeth Johnson, will guide students in developing technical control of charcoal pencils while working from these classical forms.
