Hiking the Iconic Lake District
Fri, Oct 2, 4:00 PMOne of the most picturesque parts of the UK Hosted by the *HOFNAR team,* this is going to be EPIC! Make your own way, or join the HOFNAR minibus on Friday morning out of Hammersmith (or anywhere en route) We’ll meet up at the 4\* [Crow Park Hotel](https://www.crowpark.co.uk/en-GB/homepage) on the Friday afternoon / evening and (depending on what time everyone gets there) head for a stroll into Keswick and get dinner in a local hostelry. That evening we’ll put together our final plan of action, depending on the weather and what our guides suggest. But this is what we are currently thinking… – We are looking to do a fairly chunky hike on the Saturday. Route suggestions are welcome, but we are thinking of taking on England’s highest peak – Scafell Pike. It’s a classic, but it’s so good; we’ll be looking to avoid the crowds, find some spectacular views and go wild swimming in remote tarns. – After breakfast on Sunday morning we’ll do the slightly easier going, yet super rewarding Catbells hike. (*We don’t have a qualified guide for this low level hike. Please do bear this in mind before booking.*) In the afternoon, we might grab SUPs and go for a cheeky paddle on Derwent water before heading home. – We’ll leave the Lake District at about 4pm, looking to be back in London for last trains. Sat, Oct 17, 6:45 AM### ⛰️ **Покорите высочайшую вершину Уэльса с комфортом!** 🇬🇧 Для нашей команды это уже 67-й 📊 документально подтверждённый подъём, проведённый под руководством Mountain Leader нашей компании — Максима 🧭. В первый день нас ждёт знакомство с одними из самых красивых и интересных мест Северного Уэльса 🌿. Первой остановкой станет **Powis Castle and Garden** 🏰 — один из самых впечатляющих замков Уэльса, окружённый знаменитыми террасными садами 🌸. Первая крепость была построена здесь ещё в XIII веке из красного песчаника 🧱. На протяжении столетий замок расширялся, а его облик менялся в соответствии со вкусами его владельцев. Одной из самых старых башен уже более семи веков ⌛, а внутри замка хранится уникальная коллекция произведений искусства и антиквариата 🖼️. Powis Castle также пользуется популярностью у любителей мистики и охотников за привидениями 👻. Особая достопримечательность замка — его великолепный террасный сад, который считается одним из самых красивых в Великобритании 🇬🇧✨. Природная красота, спокойная атмосфера, уютные улочки, небольшие магазины 🛍️ и многочисленные пешие маршруты 🥾 сделали Betws-y-Coed одним из самых популярных туристических мест Северного Уэльса. Здесь можно неспешно прогуляться, насладиться местными пейзажами и почувствовать настоящую атмосферу валлийской деревушки 🏡. После этого мы посетим знаменитый водопад **Rhaeadr Ewynnol Swallow Falls** 🌊, который часто можно увидеть на фотографиях, открытках и картинах Уэльса 📸. Мощные каскады воды стремительно стекают по скалам в долину реки, создавая впечатляющее зрелище ✨. Прогулка рядом с водопадом позволяет увидеть его с разных ракурсов и насладиться окружающим лесом и горными пейзажами 🍃. После насыщенного дня мы отправимся в Llanberis и разместимся в **Royal Victoria Hotel** 🏨. Здесь у нас будет свободное время для отдыха и подготовки к главному событию путешествия 💤. Второй день станет главным приключением нашей поездки — нас ждёт покорение **Snowdon** 🏔️, высочайшей вершины Уэльса. Высота Snowdon составляет 1 085 метров над уровнем моря 📏, и эта величественная гора по праву считается жемчужиной национального парка Сноудония 💎. Наш маршрут начнётся в живописном Llanberis, расположенном у подножия горы, на берегу озера **Llyn Padarn** 🏞️. Мы поднимемся по **Llanberis Path** — самому протяжённому, но при этом одному из наиболее пологих и живописных маршрутов к вершине Snowdon 🥾. Именно этим маршрутом пользовались первые туристы ещё в викторианскую эпоху 🎩. Подъём займёт около трёх часов ⏱️, после чего нас ждёт примерно три часа спуска. По пути перед нами будут открываться захватывающие панорамы на Llyn Padarn, долину Nant Peris и окружающие вершины Сноудонии. В хорошую погоду ☀️ с высоты открываются впечатляющие виды в сторону Ирландского моря 🌊 и острова Англси. На склонах горы можно встретить диких пони 🐴 и горных баранов 🐐, совершенно не боящихся туристов. Ближе к вершине маршрут становится более каменистым, добавляя восхождению настоящее ощущение горного приключения 🧗♂️. Финальные метры подъёма самые волнительные! Ещё несколько шагов — и перед нами открывается панорама бескрайних горных хребтов Уэльса и моря 🌅. На вершине находится знаменитое **Hafod Eryri** — горное кафе ☕, куда в сезон также прибывает исторический поезд **Snowdon Mountain Railway** 🚂.
