**We're building a new community for people who love to play games: a shared love of tabletop RPGs, board games, hobby chat and good company.** We aim to create a warm, welcoming, and respectful group where people can relax, share interests, and enjoy gaming together. Led by neurodivergent people, we're neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+-affirming. Join us for the first of what we hope will become a regular series of social deduction afternoons at the TSS. And we're kicking things off with Blood on the Clocktower. If you've played the likes of Mafia and Werewolf then you'll love sniffing out who the demon in the group is (unless it's you of course!). And please note that we are a nut-free venue.

🩸 Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, packed with bold lies, sharp logic, and just enough chaos to keep everyone guessing. **Walk-ins are welcome.** **Please note that the event is NOT limited to 10 attendees.** We’ll be playing a Carousel Script: **Devout Theists.** For anyone new to the group, a quick note: being on the **waiting list** does not mean you can’t attend on the day. The event is currently capped at 10 people because the Meetup app limits attendance numbers on the free subscription plan. Join OverBoard to play the brilliant social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in person at the brand new board game cafe Otter Chaos in Brixton. If you haven’t heard of Blood on the Clocktower before it is an evolution of classic party games like Mafia/Werewolf where a hidden evil team takes on the good team by lying and killing. The good team has a few tricks up their sleeve but will have to work together to deduce who the evil doers are in their midst. **This is a beginner friendly event so no experience with the game is necessary.** Please note that a gaming cover charge of \~£5 will be payable by each attendee to the venue so that we can make use of the space. We also encourage you to buy food and drink from the bar so we are supporting the business (I can highly recommend their pizzas!) Writing Group (LIVE at the All Good Bookshop)

We're the All Good Bookshop writing group - we've been around for 10 years now. We offer writing feedback and discussion, whatever your level. Never been before? That's fine. Can only come once in a while? That's fine. Want to come regularly? That's fine. While we're predominantly narrative-based, any type of writing is welcome. Fiction, non-fiction, screenplays, novels, short-stories... bring it along and see if it fits. The cost is £5 to join us. Half of this goes to the bookshop and the other half goes towards snacks/drinks for everyone. Pay when you get there. (If you're having any financial problems, feel free to have a discreet chat with Chris about it). HOW IT WORKS First, we do introductions, which cover: 1 - Who you are 2 - What kind of thing you write 3 - What you're working on 4 - What you've done in the last two weeks. Then we find out who has stuff to read out (1,000 - 2,000 words), and who has questions/discussion points. If you'd prefer to do written hand-outs, you can as well. We then run through as many people as we can fit in, so they can read out or run through a discussion point. The group is run by Chris Brosnahan, an experienced writer and a long-running facilitator of writing groups. HOUSE RULES 1 - No egos. Everyone's stuff is up for criticism/feedback. 2 - Be constructive. We're not a review group - we're trying to help each other improve. 3\. No pressure\. You can turn up and just observe if you want \- you're not under pressure to read out or feed back\. 4 - We do our best to be a safe space. You don't know the backgrounds of everyone in the room. If you're going to read something that might be problematic or emotionally difficult, talk about it first - and if you're unsure, ask. 5 - We do our best to be a safe space. For particularly graphic scenes, please discuss in advance. A reminder that listening to erotica is, in itself, a sex act, and needs the enthusiastic consent of everyone involved. 6 - Content warnings apply. This doesn't just mean things like sex or violence. It also includes things like abuse, long-term illness, death - think of things that someone may find difficult if they're dealing with at the moment. We do our best to be a safe space. 7 - If you're struggling with anything being read, you can take a break without any justification or questions. 8 - Banned question: "Is this based on your own life?" - it doesn't add anything and can make discussion awkward. Please don't ask it. 9 - Let other people talk. You'll get your chance to feedback or ask questions, but it can be all too easy to talk over people. You also don't need to respond to every piece of feedback. 10 - Keep it respectful. Keep it friendly. Any problems? Get in touch and ask.

Mudchute City Farm | ADHD Social | Everyone Welcome

**YAY!-DHD Goes Feral** **Saturday 29th August, 1200hrs onwards** **Mudchute → Greenwich** **£2 (booking fee) + whatever you spend later** A full Saturday of livestock, light walking and eventual pub-based decline. We’ll begin at **Mudchute Park & Farm**, 32 acres of countryside on the Isle of Dogs, surrounded by the sort of buildings in which very serious people move numbers between columns. There are sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, donkeys and various other animals who have, for the most part, avoided LinkedIn. ### 1200 – Crossharbour DLR We’ll meet outside **Crossharbour DLR** and walk over together. If you’re late, we’ll post where we are. No police inquiry will be held if you're five minutes late. ### 12:00–3:00pm – Mudchute City Farm We’ll spend a few hours wandering around the farm. There is no major agenda beyond looking at animals, talking to people and existing temporarily outside the normal administrative framework. A head's up, the animals may have greater executive function than you, but we get to go to the pub later. They don't. There may be a small and entirely unnecessary **Yay!-DHD Farm Challenge**. Possible categories include: Which animal most closely resembles your present internal condition? Which animal would you trust to complete and return a form correctly? Which animal appears to have already accepted the essential tragedy of existence? Which one would make the strongest middle manager? Which animal should be given control of the group finances? No prizes of significance will be awarded. We bask in mediocrity here at ADHD Towers. You are also entirely welcome to ignore this and look at a sheep, idc. ### 3:30pm – Departure At around 3.30 we’ll leave the farm and walk through **Millwall Park towards Island Gardens**. From there we’ll cross beneath the Thames through the **Greenwich Foot Tunnel**. This will be a gentle walk rather than an endurance event. We’ll stop when necessary, regroup when necessary and lose approximately one person every twelve minutes before finding them again near something interesting. Eventually we will emerge in Greenwich, altered only slightly by the experience. ### Around 4:00pm-ish onwards – Pub We’ll then go to **The Gate Clock**. To my chagrin, it is a Wetherspoons. This decision has been made following a rigorous assessment of London drink prices. There will be food, booze (if you degenerates like that kind of thing) soft drinks and chairs, and the profound loss of hope! The remainder of the afternoon can then develop naturally into the familiar social pattern of five conversations occurring simultaneously, one person returning from the bar with an entirely different group of people, and somebody discovering at 6:17pm that another attendee also has unusually strong opinions about a highly specific subject. Stay for one drink, dinner, several hours, or until some internal mechanism informs you that you have finished. ### Cost Mudchute is free to visit, although organised groups pay a booking fee, so we’ll charge **£2 per person** towards that. Anything after that is just whatever you choose to buy. Drinking alcohol is entirely optional. ### You can join partway through You don’t have to attend the full migration. **Farm:** join us around midday. **Walk:** join us around 3pm. **Pub:** join us in Greenwich from roughly 4pm. We’ll post our location during the day. Wear sensible-ish shoes if it has been raining. As always, there’s no requirement to remain with the main group continuously. Wander around. Sit somewhere. Change conversations. Take ten minutes alone. Arrive late. Leave early. Accidentally become very interested in a goat. The day has no performance targets. Yay!-DHD is meant to be a space where people feel safe and at ease. People hold up Bonnie and Clyde, The Graduate and Point Blank as the harbingers of a new Hollywood, but Rosemary's Baby, released the following year, arguably ended up being as influential. It reduced any element of camp irony married a satanic dread to a high budget and feminist concerns about bodily autonomy. Without this, you don't get The Exorcist or Obsession. Rosemary Woodhouse has just moved into a gorgeous New York co-op and is both newly married and newly pregnant. But there are rumours about the building's residents, who begin to take more than a casual interest in her and her unborn child. We'll be in the private dining room - ask at the bar if you can't find us. * Organise ourselves into small groups (3-4 people per group) * Have a look at the **thought experiments** (announced on the day of the event) * 7:15 - First rotation begins - Talk about the first thought experiment, but feel free to veer off topic. * 7:35 - Optional reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the second thought experiment. * 8:00 - Optional reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the third thought experiment. * 8:25pm - Wrap up - hear about upcoming events, feedback/requests for future meetups. * 8:30 Meetup ‘ends’. But feel free to carry on conversations.
