Douglaston Phone Photo Walk Expedition to the Memorial Day Parade in Little Neck

Let’s go to a Phone Photo Walk at Douglaston Peninsula: a gorgeous Historic District of Queens. Let’s wonder around the waterfront and see the largest collection of imported trees in New York City plus the architecture of the Mansions and their Gardens. The plan is also to visit a section of the Udall’s Cove Park Preserve: a dirt trail of a Forever Wild Area. Group meets at 10:30am by the Douglaston LIRR Station Plaza - Port Washington Line. We will pass Memorial Field Park where we can stop for snacks. Total distance aprox 2.5miles on rolling hills on pavement, grass and dirt trails. Wear supportive shoes, bring your hats, water and snacks. Plenty of breaks on the way to enjoy the views and take Photos. We will pass the Little Neck LIRR train Station and head to Northern Blvd to watch the Memorial Day Parade that starts at 2pm. Feel free to wear your Red, White and Blue and make this Day a memorable Outing. **Join us for our next Knit+Wine Night on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 5-7:00pm.** **Please note that** **space is limited to 15 people.** **For those of you who are new to Knit+Wine Night, this is an informal community event for knitters (& other crafters and textile enthusiasts) to come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other makers. All types of knitters, crocheters, and fiber crafters are welcome! ******This is \*****not\** ***a class.******** **The cafe has a focused menu of beverages, including tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a small selection of pastries.** **Please note you must make a purchase in order to enter the cafe. The staff is wonderful and welcoming!** **NOTE a change in the way you sign up. Historically we have had too many who sign up and not show up. In order to accommodate all who intend to participate your $3.00 payment must be made to reserve your space. Those who do not will be relieved from the attendee column and a waitlist paying participant will be moved up. **Let's go to a Mets game together!** June 10 is *Stitch n Pitch night* at Citi Field. There are 3 whole sections reserved for stitchers and hundreds have already signed up. Instructions say to bring your project to work on during the game.
