Are you looking to try out ceramics or up-skill your existing knowledge? Look no further! This workshop is standalone or you can book a block of 4 that need not be consecutive. It takes place in a very spacious and bright studio and you are welcomed to come with your own ideas or simply follow along and let your creativity blossom during the mindful 3 hours of making. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to create functional ware or small sculptural work. Beginners will be guided through the process using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing and surface decoration. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcomed to use the wheel which would need to be reserved in advance. Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are mainly run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to practice their English. Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). Let’s do that again. Join us at Charcha for a relaxed evening of **collage, creativity and experimentation**. There’s no right way to make a collage. Bring some old magazines, newspapers, photographs, coloured paper — anything you’re happy to cut up and transform. Since this is a **free, community-led event**, we’re asking everyone to bring whatever materials they can: ✂️ Scissors 🧴 Glue 📰 Old magazines / newspapers 📄 Papers, photographs, scraps or anything interesting you have lying around Come alone or bring a friend. We’ll put everything on the table and see what happens.
