"Gay Aprons Only": the most sassy cooking class in town

The "Gay Aprons Only cooking class is back. If you are looking for something fun, cheeky, and a little different for your Saturday night? Don’t miss this. This is a playful and social cooking experience designed for gay men who enjoy great food, learning something new, good company, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a way to explore our masculinity in a safe, respectful, private and non-judgemental environment. We’ll kick off the evening with a glass of bubbles and a selection of antipasti to break the ice. Then, together, we’ll dive into preparing a traditional Italian dish from scratch. This time, you’ll learn how to make "Involtini di tacchino", (Turkey Rolls). Thin slices of turkey breast filled with prosciutto, mushrooms, cheese and herbs, then rolled and secured with a toothpick, cooked with white wine and herbs until tender and flavourful. Served with roasted potatoes and other vegetables. It's a lovely meal to share in great company and with a good glass of wine. The Aprons Only cooking class takes place in a cosy private flat near Victoria Station and is limited to a small group of up to max 10 people, keeping things intimate and relaxed. During this one-day woodturning workshop you will learn the ’Headstock method’ ‘Spindle turning,’ accurate drilling, fitting two parts together and decorative tips, to make a Peppermill. Discover the parts of the lathe and understand how to safely secure your work, the methods to use with each chisel and how to sand and finish your projects. You will start by turning a practice piece before moving onto the peppermill, using spindle turning techniques, learning to drill accurately and introducing the use of a woodwork chisel and tenon saw in the process. Making the peppermill will teach you how to make and fit two parts together. By creating a ‘spigot’ on the head of the mill to fit nicely into the body of the Peppermill. Suitable for those who have attended our pen and bowl making workshop however confident beginners are also welcome. Amateur Drama Classes

Join me for a fun Drama class every Monday evening from 6:30 pm- 8:30pm at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham Common. The class helps with confidence, developing awareness of yourself and others, connecting and to simply having fun. No experience is needed. We'll do relaxation exercises, games, improvisations, storytelling, and a bit later on we'll start working on character and text. There will be a little showcase at the end of the year. £10 pounds for the trial class to be paid before or after class. Different payment options if you decide to join. LGBTQ+ Pottery Workshop

**Make Pots. Meet People. Make Friends.** Join ceramic artist **Lucas Buttchewits** for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to pottery designed for all levels. Whether you've never touched clay before or already enjoy creative work, this workshop offers a welcoming, inclusive space to try something new while meeting others through a shared experience. During the session you'll explore traditional hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling and slab building to create your own tableware or decorative pieces. You'll also experiment with decorating your work using leaves and flowers to imprint natural textures, before adding colour and personality using painted slip. Lucas will guide you through every stage of the process, from shaping and decorating your piece to understanding how it will be glazed and kiln-fired after the workshop. But like all Friend of Dorothy events, this isn't just about the activity. It's about creating spaces where **gay, bi, trans, non-binary and queer people** can meet, talk and form real connections outside of apps and bars. With a small group and a relaxed creative atmosphere, it's easy to chat, laugh and get to know the people around you.
