Join us for the upcoming Hudson County Community Initiative, a day dedicated to volunteering, empowering, and transforming our neighborhoods through unity and service. Together, community members, families, and local volunteers will come together to support positive change, strengthen connections, and help create a cleaner, safer, and brighter future for Hudson County. This event is more than volunteering — it is about building pride in our community, uplifting one another, and showing the power of teamwork when people come together with one mission: creating a better community for future generations. From community support activities to neighborhood improvement efforts, every contribution will make a meaningful impact. We are also looking to build stronger connections throughout the community. If you are part of an organization, collective, local group, or know of any organization interested in collaborating with us, we would love to connect and work together. Anyone interested in leading a volunteering initiative, community activity, or bringing new ideas to help our neighborhoods is always welcome. AI Jam Session/Meet the Community: A Pre Summit Event

AWS Jam challenges individuals and teams to apply their AWS Cloud skills to solve real-world, open-ended problems using AWS services. Engage in a gamified learning environment that helps you develop your AWS Cloud skills through simulated use cases in an AWS Management Console sandbox. Select challenges by technical domain or role and by difficulty level. Clues are available to help navigate the challenges if needed.

Desert and food events for low income families in the Bronx, and other recipients that need help throughout NY. Every Thursday - Saturday during January and February. Helping the homeless to get off the streets this winter

Hello all, https://bowery.volunteerhub.com/vv2/ I was extremely saddened by this weekend's brutal killing of 4 homeless people in lower manhattan. I have contacted the Bowery mission to help and see what we can do as a community to provide food and shelter for the homeless. This is an endless effort. I encourage you all to helpout whenever, and whatever you have to get them off the streets, and to clean up the shelter and talk to the government to get programs incentives to allow landlords to use up their vacant space, even if its a few months for the winter. Many of you do not know that homeless people choose to be outside, because they don't feel safe in shelters. Or because of their illness that they do not want contact with people or helping themselves. Bowery mission helps manhattan folks - with shelter/ food/ clothing. Please help 1 at a time. ST. Lutheran's Church

THIS IS A REMINDER: members can sign up by calling the church and arrange to meet with other members. Every tues and Thurs, St Lutheran's church serve food to the needy in the neighborhood. Average 200 meals are served. 6 to 8 volunteers are needed. the meals are served between 1 to 2 pm. I understand this is the middle of the day.
