Hey Everyone! **Welcome to Queer Book Club! We read books about, for and written by queer people! Follow us on Instagram @queer_book_club Our next meetup will be held on Tuesday September 22nd at Young Ethel’s in Park Slope BK This month we will be reading Kin by Tayari Jones ** Vernice and Annie, two motherless daughters raised in Honeysuckle, Louisiana, have been best friends and neighbors since earliest childhood, but are fated to live starkly different lives. This game is INTERMEDIATE - meaning it's a fun kickaround with a mix of skill levels but all players have experience. It's great for anyone looking for a quality game with laid-back people in a no-pressure environment. Not for beginners. Please show up early so we can kick the game off in time. Please bring a WHITE and DARK T shirt so we can divide up teams. Format and Rules: • Games are full field with 2 teams of 10 players, rotating goalkeepers, and full-sized nets. Lives were lost, thousands were injured, and 1,500 homes were destroyed. Our very own Edgar (longtime member of our group) has family in the area that was hit. Thankfully, they are safe and are now working to help their neighbors in need. With your donation, his family will assemble food & supplies packages and personally deliver them to families in harder-to-reach towns.
