**"Central to Balmain"** via Chippy-Uni-Roselle-Annandale-Leichhardt-Balmain 13.5km Walk! **NOTE: "Meeting Point" - Grand Central Station's "Transport Information Big Board" near Platform 4.** Café perfectly placed nearby if you arrive early. Meet other walkers. **1\. Some New Unique Walk Sections:** Enjoy-Easy-Moderate-Walk! Central Station to Balmain. Don't miss this interesting "Inner Suburbs" 13.5km Mostly Flat, a few hills/stairs. **2\. Start: Central Station\,** down Railway Colonnade Drive, walk the Chilli Lane, a sneak peek at **Chippindale's** exciting zigzag section. Beautiful Victoria Park, then University of Sydney, where we discover the **"Tunnel of Graffiti"** a truly eye-opening sceptical. **3.** Walkway where we twist and turn through Camperdown-Forest Lodge towards the narrow **"Johnstons Creek Walk"** **4\. Glebe Foreshore Park**, then **Federal Park**. crossing over the Pedestrian Bridge at **Whites Creek**. Walk between **Rozelle Wetlands**, with some new pathway variations. **5.** We emerge at Cohen Park Tennis Courts. **Whites Creek Valley Park** to **Memorial Park.** Toilets and water fountains along these walkways. Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Darwin to Broom Road Trip - 9 Days Adventure Trip

We meet at **Bondi Junction Train Station, at Bus Stand F (easy to find)** by no later than **10:30AM** to commence our walk down to Bondi Beach. We check out Ben Buckler Point and a host of parks spread through Dover Heights and head through to **Watsons Bay** for lunch and clean bathrooms. **FOOD SHOPS AT LUNCH BREAK, BUT IT CAN GET BUSY SO MAYBE BRING A PACKED LUNCH.** We climb out of Watsons Bay via the Bluff walking track and skirt around **Naval Warfare Training Base Watson** to find South Head and the historic **Hornby Lighthouse**. Whales,whales, whales! Cronulla to Kurnell return!

This 16 km walk begins and ends at Cronulla railway station. Please arrive at 9.10 am sharp. We will be catching the 9.20 am bus ( 987) to Kurnell. Upon arriving at Kurnell, we will look at the beautiful sculptures ( whale bones, canoes and mother and baby whales). We will then head over to the Yena trail and walk to the Kurnell rock platform and whale watching area. From here we follow the headland around and walk past Cape Bailey light house and on to Boat Harbour. There are little shacks here that were built in the 1900’s. We will walk up the beach to Wanda and on to Cronulla mall, where we can purchase a well deserved coffee or treat! We will arrive back at Cronulla railway by 3.30 pm. Winter wandering in Royal NP! Waterfall to Uloola Falls, Karloo, Olympic pools!

This walk takes us from Waterfall to Uloola falls, Karloo pool and then to Olympic pool. **We will start at Waterfall Train Station (exit train station and turn left until you get to the drop-off area) at 9.15am. **From here we will follow the Uloola Fire Trail for about 5kms to Uloola Falls, where we stop for a snack and I will show you a secret swimming hole with little waterfalls. We will then follow the Karloo Track for 3 kms to Karloo Pools ,where we will have lunch.Then we will follow Kangaroo Creek to Olympic pool. MIDDLE HARBOUR - THE AUSTRIAN CLUB - MANLY DAM: 3 Experiences in One 11kms Hike!

I've got no control over this event, cause every few months my tummy hums... ***"I need schnitzel. Hike me to the Austrian Club."*** So, let's hike... then lunch. Then hike off the calories from lucnh! ***I love this hike(s). I love this restaurant. I love this day. If you've not been, I'm certain you'll walk into The Austrian Club and say: "MJ, how in the fahk did you find this schnitzel place?"*** It's that kind of place. I’m patting myself on the back in planning this event / hike, cause we absorb three totally different experiences. This is a superb Saturday session of hiking, food / drink, and Mother Nature in Sydneytown: a) We meet at Seaforth Oval (141 bus route - we can discuss on whatsapp) next to the playground. A shortish hike / trail at **Middle Harbour to the stunning Bluff Lookout (this hike is short, but there are some challenging bits)**; b) Lunch (you don't have to eat - come for a drink) at one of the best (if not best) schnitzel joints in Sydney at **The Austrian Club**; and c) The more scenic, relaxed, lovely side of **Manly Dam**. **THE HIKING – EATING – DRINKING PLAN:** **1030am – 12:15pm. Middle Harbour Hiking, 5kms.** Middle Harbour is stunning, and **The Bluff Lookout** is the prize at the top that’s not to be missed. Yet be aware – sure it’s close to Sydney’s CBD – but this trail has a decent then ascent and will be a bit challenging (*from Harbour level to 153metres*). When we leave Seaforth Oval, you will not believe how Mother Nature has carved this trail and caves so close to suburbia (and The Austrian Club). It’s the perfect start to build up some hunger for lunch. The Bluff Lookout is the finale, and it's 300m away from lunch and a beer. For the rest of us… **145pm Manly Dam Hiking, 6kms.** One hour and 15minutes will be enough to eat / drink a couple of beers then head off to **Manly Dam**. *“Manly Dam, also known as Manly Warringah War Memorial Park, is a freshwater lake and bushland reserve located in Manly Vale, Sydney. Created by damming Curl Curl Creek in 1892, it is Sydney's largest freshwater lake. The dam is a popular spot for various recreational activities like walking, mountain biking, water skiing, swimming, and fishing. It also holds significant heritage value and features diverse flora and fauna.”* There's a scenic side to Manly Dam, and there's a semi-boring side - we'll do the lovely, scenic side. Manly Dam will be a relaxed trail hike – a perfect way to end this event. Our walk finishes right on the B1 bus line – easy to head back home. **The LOGISTICS:** a) *Be on time. Be safe. Be fit for the ascent.* b) **141 Bus** drops right at Seaforth Oval, our meeting point. I imagine there’s parking there too? I don’t know (DIY research drivers). I’ll be on that bus.
