An approximately 10km walk (over 10,000 steps), at a brisk 5km/h, exploring the parks and foreshore around the CBD. *This weeks walk will finish at Redfern.* *From Stand K we will walk down to Darling Harbour. We will then cross the Pyrmont Bridge and walk through some back streets of Pyrmont, to get to Wentworth Park. We will then continue along the shores of Blackwattle and Rozelle Bays. We will then head south and walk through the Tramshed and to Sydney University via the Footbridge over Parramatta Road. Engadine to Heathcote via Woronora River, Mirang Pool and Lake Eckersley!

**If you like bush walking on unkept trails with a little bush-bashing, you’ll love this walk!** **We will meet at outside Engadine Train Station on the west side (for those of you directionally challenged, that is on the highway side platform of the station) at 9.30am sharp. The train from Central Leaves at 8.37am and arrives at Engadine at 9.27am** **From here we will walk through Engadine and make our way to the Ferntree Pipeline Trail.** **We follow it along for a while and then start our descend into the bush towards Heathcote Road. We will need to be VERY CAREFUL crossing this busy roadway as drivers do not expect pedestrians and tend to resist slowing down when they see one (don’t ask how I know, just accept that I know).** **Once we get to the other side (less those that didn’t make it Lol!), we will follow Scouters Mountain Trail down to the creek, cross it and then follow the rough fire trail which goes through a few ups and downs (actually, mostly ups).** **When the fire trail ends (rather abruptly), we bush-bash our way down to the Woronora River.** **We have lunch here on some very shady rocks next to the river, enjoying the bush environment. We might even see an echidna or two.** **Then we reunite with the Pipeline Track and follow it to Mirang Pool and then Lake Eckersley, a very tranquil corner of the Woronora River before returning the same way and continuing to Heathcote Train Station.** **There are some lovely views along the way with a wide-ranging number of native plants (a good deal of them in flower) and some native animals (which hang around close to the trail because it is not a common one).** **We will aim to finish at Heathcote by 3.30pm, maybe even earlier, and head to The Arbour for a well-earned drink, before catching a train back to the city.** **\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** **DISTANCE: About 15 kms.** **GRADE: Medium, with a few “up” hills.** **NOTE: No exit options along the way, unless in suburbia. Great North Walk Thornleigh to Chatswood 18km medium

Fabulous walk along the Great North Walk trail from Thornleigh Station to Chatswood Sation about 18km and a few small ups/downs but lovely bush trails ## Lane Cove National Park & The Great North Walk Sydney is incredibly fortunate to harbor a significant number of national parks right within its metropolitan boundaries. Among the most central is **Lane Cove National Park**, which begins less than 10 kilometers from the CBD as the crow flies. While surrounding suburban development has introduced some weed encroachment along the creeklines, the park beautifully preserves a wealth of original, pristine bushland across its ridges and valleys. For walkers looking to explore this pocket of wilderness, a prime section of the iconic **Great North Walk**—the massive track linking Sydney to Newcastle—cuts directly through the heart of the valley. This specific route follows the peaceful, non-tidal waters of the Lane Cove River, tracing the valley from the weir at Fullers Bridge all the way up to the northern watershed near Thornleigh. 🌊 Coastal Epic: The 'Bloody Long Walk' ~20KM Leg 2 - Watson Bay - N Shore

Join us for the second leg of **coastal challenge over Eastern Beaches** \- from Watson Bay to North Shore as we take on our unofficial attempt of the scenic 'Bloody Long Walk' \(Sydney East route\)\. Originally hosted by the Mito Foundation each November\, we are tackling this spectacular coastal track our own way\. This is a demanding\, long\-distance trek requiring high fitness and endurance\, but the world\-class ocean views are worth every step\. Winter wandering in Royal NP! Waterfall to Uloola Falls, Karloo, Olympic pools!

This walk takes us from Waterfall to Uloola falls, Karloo pool and then to Olympic pool. **We will start at Waterfall Train Station (exit train station and turn left until you get to the drop-off area) at 9.15am. **From here we will follow the Uloola Fire Trail for about 5kms to Uloola Falls, where we stop for a snack and I will show you a secret swimming hole with little waterfalls. We will then follow the Karloo Track for 3 kms to Karloo Pools ,where we will have lunch.Then we will follow Kangaroo Creek to Olympic pool. We will head to Heathcote Train Station via the Bottle Forest track. We will arrive at Heathcote train station by 3.30 pm. **DISTANCE: About 14 km.** GRADE: Medium, there are a few hills to climb.
