It is a reasonable expectation that the group stays together. It is your responsibility to stay in line of sight. If you cannot walk at this pace, I will let you know of the next get out point. This is not negotiable. 🌸🐌🌸 As this is a walking group, bikes, ebikes, scooters, escooters, and pogo sticks are not compatible or welcome. 🌸👣🌸 Grading for my walks:
Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 🌸✍️🌸 Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Weekend Sunset Bushwalk - Wollstonecraft to North Sydney ~11 km

**Join us for a scenic Sunset bushwalk exploring Gore Creek, Coal Loader, and Blues Point.** This moderately paced 2-hour hike offers stunning views with a mix of bushland, parks, and streets. **It has** **many inclines,** and **a good fitness level is essential to walk 4.5 km/h for 2+ hours**. **Here's what you need to know:** * **Start time:** 4:00 PM sharp, please arrive by 3:55 PM. Finish around 6:30 PM. * **Meeting point:** Wollstonecraft Station Park, outside Platform 2. * **Route:** Our walk starts with a bushwalk through Gore Creek, then heads to Berry Island for a quick stop to take in the views. We'll continue through bush trails towards the Coal Loader, passing Oyster Cove, then follow the Balls Head track before finishing at North Sydney Station (near Metro) via Waverton Park and Lavender Bay. 🌊 Coastal Epic: The 'Bloody Long Walk' ~20KM Leg 2 - Watson Bay - N Shore

Join us for the second leg of **coastal challenge over Eastern Beaches** \- from Watson Bay to North Shore as we take on our unofficial attempt of the scenic 'Bloody Long Walk' \(Sydney East route\)\. Originally hosted by the Mito Foundation each November\, we are tackling this spectacular coastal track our own way\. The terrain features a diverse mix of coastal boardwalks, beach walking (sand), paved streets, stairs, and multiple headland ascents. * **Start:** 9:30 AM sharp at Watson Bay wharf exit - nearby Doyles on the Wharf. Please arrive a few minutes early. **Finish:** Milsons Point (followed by an optional dinner for those staying). * **Route:** We will start at Watsons Bay - and continue the harborside walk through Rose Bay - Double bay and past Mrs Macquarie's Chair for some breaks, before continuing to the Harbor Bridge and finally wrapping up at Milsons Point - near the station/ferry wharf. * **Gratuity:** A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. ⚠️ FOR YOUR SAFETY & ENJOYMENT, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BELOW FULLY BEFORE YOU CLICK ‘Attend’! ******************************************** 🗓 DATE: Sunday, 2 August 2026. ⏰ MEETING TIME: 9.50am. 🚊 MEETING POINT: Chatswood station - at the entry/exit after tap on/off, in front of BWS. 🚌 END POINT: Bus stop at Delhi Road or any bus stops along the way back to Chatswood, CBD etc. 🗺️ Please use Google maps, not Meetup maps! 🥾 DISTANCE: 14km circuit. 🥾 GRADE: Easy/mostly Moderate on a steady pace, not snail pace! 💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and downs hills, stair climbs, creek crossings, fallen trees, rock scramblings and a bit of bush bashing at few overgrown sections. 💪🏽Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery in parts. 🚶‍♂️NOTE: Few get-out points along the way that you may leave at anytime.

🚶‍♂️This is a beauriful walk in Lane Cove National Park along Lane Cove Riverside and Fairyland tracks.
🚶From Chatswood station, we’ll start our exciting aadventure on a local roads towards the bushland and reserve. Then continue towards picturesque Lane Cove River.
🥪 After BYO lunch break at the picnic area, we’ll continue our adventure on a local roads towards Fairyland track.

Great North Walk Thornleigh to Chatswood 18km medium

Fabulous walk along the Great North Walk trail from Thornleigh Station to Chatswood Sation about 18km and a few small ups/downs but lovely bush trails ## Lane Cove National Park & The Great North Walk Sydney is incredibly fortunate to harbor a significant number of national parks right within its metropolitan boundaries. Among the most central is **Lane Cove National Park**, which begins less than 10 kilometers from the CBD as the crow flies. While surrounding suburban development has introduced some weed encroachment along the creeklines, the park beautifully preserves a wealth of original, pristine bushland across its ridges and valleys. For walkers looking to explore this pocket of wilderness, a prime section of the iconic **Great North Walk**—the massive track linking Sydney to Newcastle—cuts directly through the heart of the valley. This specific route follows the peaceful, non-tidal waters of the Lane Cove River, tracing the valley from the weir at Fullers Bridge all the way up to the northern watershed near Thornleigh.
