Holland Park Kyoto Garden Walk & Japan House

​Let's make the most of the beautiful autumn colours, and go for a walk in Holland Park's Kyoto Garden! 🍁 美しい紅葉の季節を最大限に楽しむために、ホランド・パーク内にある京都庭園へ散歩に行きましょう！ ​We'll meet at Pret a Manger, near Holland Park Station. I'll be there from 2:00 PM, and we'll wait for everyone to arrive. 集合場所はホランド・パーク駅近くのPret a Mangerです。私は午後2時から待っていますので、皆さんが揃うのを待ちましょう。 ​Feel free to grab a drink and join us as we chat and get to know each other before we begin our walk. 散歩を始める前に、ぜひ飲み物を買っておしゃべりをしながらお互いに交流しましょう。 ​At around 2:20 we'll start heading to the park. T is for The Coming of Age exhibition @ Wellcome Collection

*"Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art."* (Stanislaw Jerzy Lec) **Join us at the Wellcome Collection for The Coming of Age exhibition.** ‘The Coming of Age’ explores experiences and perceptions of ageing, from adolescence to later life, and asks how societies can adapt for us all to age better. Across the globe, people are living longer. One in ten children in the UK are expected to live beyond the age of 100. But who gets to live longer and ‘age well’? This exhibition explores how experiences of age are shaped by our environment, culture and society. ‘The Coming of Age’ features 150 artworks and objects, from historical artefacts to works by contemporary artists including John Coplans, Serena Korda, Suzanne Lacy, Anna Maria Maiolino, Rory Pilgrim, Paula Rego and more. **Join us for a visit to London Museum Docklands**, **which tells the fascinating story of London's docks and their profound impact on the city.** The museum is set in a refurbished 200-year-old sugar warehouse and reveals the long history of the capital as a port through stories of trade, migration and commerce, from Roman settlement to Docklands' regeneration. Themed state-of-the-art galleries such as ‘London, Sugar & Slavery’ and ‘Warehouse of the World’ take you on a chronological tour of the port. London's transformation into a global trading hub, the impact of immigration on its cultural tapestry, and the crucial role the docks played in wartime resilience are all highlighted in the galleries spread over three floors.
