Hampstead Heath Spiritual Gathering & Walk

Hampstead Heath Spiritual Gathering & Walk

Sun, Jul 26, 10:00 AM
From Spiritual Creatives
4.8

Our 46th Spiritual Creatives gathering - in person! Come and join us for a lovely walk and talk around Hampstead Heath. We are meeting just outside Hampstead Heath station (London Overground train) at 11.00 on Sunday the 26th of July. Please note: This is NOT Hampstead Station on the Northern Line! It is the Hampstead HEATH station. The Google link is here: [https://goo.gl/maps/AJCNoxkKNj6K9Gp77](https://goo.gl/maps/AJCNoxkKNj6K9Gp77) We will wait for people to arrive until 11.15am and then we will begin walking. If you arrive later, you will only be able to catch up with us at Kenwood House approximately between 12 and 12.30pm. You should be able to find us sitting around as a group having a drink. If the weather permits, you'll find us outside the main café, towards the back. After a short break of 20-30 minutes, we then walk back through the Heath, taking the long way round to Parliament Hill, and conclude our stroll back to Hampstead Heath overground station around 2 to 2.30pm. (Please note that you may become so involved in your conversations that you end up losing sight of the main group! Unfortunately, there is no way for you to catch up with us once we have become separated (and we do NOT check our phones for texts or messages during our walk) so please be mindful and conscious to stay with the main group if you want to keep up. Also please bear in mind that Hampstead Heath can be muddy sometimes, so please wear the appropriate shoes). After returning to Hampstead Heath Overground station, many of our (usually hungry) members like to continue the camaraderie over lunch at one of the local cafés or restaurants. As our group has grown over the years, these gatherings can be quite large, so we usually have to split into smaller parties and explore different venues. Some of our favourite spots are Dominique’s Café (dominiquescafe.co.uk) and Silverberries (silverberry.net), both of which offer a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. It’s a great way to wind down the walk and continue our conversations. Spiritual Creatives is a warm-hearted and popular meetup group, as you can see from our ratings and comments! We hope to meet you then! :-) Best wishes Cliff **Find out more about us at [https://www.spiritualarts.org.uk](https://www.spiritualarts.org.uk/).**

An Exploration of Human Expression and Its Future

An Exploration of Human Expression and Its Future

Fri, Jul 10, 6:00 PM
From UX for Change | London
4.7

What makes us human, and what do we risk losing when AI begin to mirror our most intimate forms of expression? As AI becomes woven into our everyday workflows, from vibe coding to documentation, it's easy to focus on efficiency. But what about the rest of our lives? This session invites you to slow down and turn your attention toward something deeper: the arts. Dancing, singing, drawing, making, not as hobbies, but as expressions of something fundamental about who we are and where we come from. Whether you're excited about what AI can create, cautious about what it might erode, or somewhere in between, this conversation is for you. We're not here to reach consensus. We're here to share our views and think together. **What we'll explore** Inspired by the [Centre for Humane Technology](https://www.humanetech.com/ai-and-humanity)'s report *Preserving What Makes Us Deeply Human in the Age of AI*, we'll explore questions around why we create. What role does art play in our lives, not just aesthetically, but psychologically, socially, and spiritually? And as AI enters these spaces, what questions should we be asking ourselves? **From reflection to practice** We won't leave it abstract. Towards the end of the session, we'll bring the conversation back to our work as UX Designers and Researchers, exploring how these reflections can meaningfully shape the way we design, research, and lead. *** **🎓 A moment of celebration** We'll close the evening by celebrating the nine fellows who have completed the third [Responsible Design for Change Fellowship](https://www.ux4change.org/responsible-design-for-change-fellowship/) cohort. Their dedication to advancing social impact at the East London Waterworks Park, while deepening their practice in regenerative design and leadership, is worth sharing with our UX for Change community. *** **🎟️ Free spots available** We believe access to these conversations matters. If you'd like to be considered for one of the 7 free tickets, please fill out this short form: 👉[https://forms.gle/YgPFKeSXtZDMVaVU9](https://forms.gle/YgPFKeSXtZDMVaVU9)

Revealing Writing

Revealing Writing

Wed, Jul 15, 6:00 PM
From Revealing Writing: for self reflection and creativity

**A space for exploring creative writing as practice and journaling for self reflection. There will the support of the group, suggested exercises, methods and forms. Space to share your words, space to choose not to. Share your struggles and surprises with your creativity. A space in your week to connect, drop deeper and breathe some life into some familiar and strange ideas.** **Writing can be a practice of journaling to get your thoughts and feelings onto the page and have some distance and perspective. There can be a sense of finding out something new through writing that brings up unexpected thoughts, stories and emotions. This can be a therapy of taking more care of yourself, mind and heart.** **Writing slows our words down, and gives us time to taste, observe and pay attention to the flow and receiving of words and language. Did I really say that? And who said that? Can be revealing questions and open new ways of being yourself with others. We can also be with our choices to share, not to share, exploring privacy and secrets in our communications. Our words often reveal what we are not able or willing to say and so we may ask ourselves, how is this true? And stay interested in the gaps, pauses and shadows of our descriptions.** I will be writing a case study on this group, I will anonymise everyone and anything that could identify the members of the group.
