Bodies Of Work: Figure Drawing

Join us for an evening of drawing from a live model. **Bodies of Work** is a figure drawing series focused on celebrating the dynamic human body. We're fascinated with how the body works, and we feel like you just might be too. We work with models who have a physical practice: boxers, climbers, dancers, lifters, athletes. Poses are directed to put the body's mechanics on display. This event is hosted by Dan Boterashvili of Harvest Strength Training, a personal trainer and visual artist, alongside Alexander Singer, community engagement professional and bartender. We will also be providing basic materials and a limited amount of drawing boards. **Every experience level welcome, first-timers welcomed.** **Doors open at 6:40pm. Poses run 7:00–9:30pm**, from short gestures to long holds. Stick around after to share work and meet other artists. Note: Doors will be kept open until 7:15. It's something that many have on their bucket list of things to do. You're invited to this fun, creative, social, and fun event! We will be painting in Central Park under the guidance of a master artist! Please bring something to sit on (towel is fine). Included: a pre-sketched canvas, unlimited painting materials (brushes, acrylic paints etc.) and a take home bag. We do not give out smocks so please dress appropriately. ➡️ OPEN STUDIO! ⬅️ Live Model \| Set & Scenery \| Painting Encouraged Sunday from 10am-5pm (lunch break from 1-2pm) A full day of **unstructured painting**! Same model, same pose all day long. Bring your own materials (paint, charcoal, whatever gets you going) and work at your own pace. We'll stage the scene and leave you to it! Easels and desks available to use.
