NSL Lockpicking - Lock Designs!

Sat, Jul 18, 2:00 AM
From Null Space Labs
4.9

Learn about physical security, locks, and locking mechanisms. This month's topic is LOCK DESIGNS! We normally focus on pin-tumbler lockpicking because it is the most popular lock design, but what others are out there and how do they work? Do pin-tumbler tools work to pick them; can they even be picked? Find out at this month's meeting! We will have locks and loaner picks to practice, along with experienced pickers and training aids to help beginners learn. Doors open at 7:00 PM! Talk starts at 7:30 PM. Hope to see you all there! ============================= Where do I park? / How do I get inside? Parking: There is free street parking on N Ontario St. It is usually easy to find a spot after business hours or on weekends. Getting inside: Once you park, head down the walkway, we are the long building in the back (see link for overhead directions) Parking and entry images: [https://032.la/#contact](https://032.la/#contact) === What does this cost? This class is FREE! We supply equipment for this class from donations and are happy to accept donations in cash or online. You can become a NSL member or make a donation online at https://032.la/membership-info/ =============================

We host meetups to share stories, learn from each other, exchange experiences, and build genuine connections. ***We also keep the group size intentionally small, so conversations stay meaningful and go beyond just “what do you do.”*** If you’ve been thinking about meeting new people, growing your network, or just having better conversations, this is your sign. Come as you are, no pressure, just real talk, good energy, and people who actually want to connect. > ***Seats are limited, so make sure you’re subscribed to our calendar to grab a spot and stay in the loop. Building Demand Forecasting with BigQuery ML

Building Demand Forecasting with BigQuery ML

Sat, Jul 25, 9:00 PM
From Techies
4.7

As businesses strive to stay ahead of market trends, predicting future demand is no longer optional, it's a competitive necessity. This hands-on workshop addresses the practical challenges of processing massive datasets and building predictive models. You will implement a time-series forecasting strategy using **BigQuery Machine Learning** to analyze historical patterns and predict future demand. Using the public NYC Citi Bike Trips dataset as our sandbox, you will learn how to: * **Explore and query** large-scale public datasets directly in BigQuery. * **Train a forecasting model** using the powerful ARIMA algorithm to handle parallel multi-item pipelines. * **Evaluate model performance** using key statistical metrics like AIC to ensure accuracy. * **Generate batch predictions** for the next 30 days of demand. Join us to learn how to combine SQL-based machine learning with deterministic data analytics to make your applications smarter, predictive, and data-driven. **Bring your laptop and be ready to build!
