🗣️ Arabic Practice Circle: Social & Structured Session

A regular meetup for those committed to practising and improving their Arabic. It is designed for those who know the very basics and want a structured opportunity to practise reading, listening, speaking, and building confidence. If you're still learning the very basics but want some motivation to keep going, you're very welcome to join. Note: This is a practice group facilitated by a native speaker - not a formal teacher or taught class, and not a Quran teaching session. 📚 SESSION FORMAT: ⏱️ 30 mins Intro & Social: We'll go around and introduce ourselves in Arabic. Afternoon Fiction Feedback Workshop

An afternoon feedback session for those who don't work 9-5 during the week. I hope you'll join these new sessions. In these regular writing workshops, we have three writers sharing a sample of their writing for immediate feedback, advice and encouragement. Critique is led and moderated by your host. You learn more by listening to the writing of others and the feedback their piece receives on the night than you can imagine. We've been running these sessions since 2010 and there's a reason they fill up so fast! Usually, we have a group of up to 15 writers attending. For people reading, pieces must be **3,500 words or less** as you'll have about 45mins for reading and discussion on your excerpt from around the table. Most people bring 3,500 words from their novel or a short story of all genres and styles. If you'd like to read, please **post a comment below**. ***You must have booked your place before making a request to read.*** If you are reading, **please bring enough printed copies (at least 10)** of your pages so members can make additional feedback/editing notes for you during the reading. All copies will be returned to you after the feedback has concluded. New members are always welcome in these groups. Most people come along to a few sessions before offering feedback, commenting or requesting to read but it's up to you. If you want to read right away, great, but if you want to come along and see how we roll first, that makes sense too. Again, you'll be surprised by how much you can learn from others by listening to the pieces and their feedback. After the workshop, most of us head to the bar for a social drink or two and extended conversation about the joys and woes of writing. **TICKETS:** £12.00 and please follow the steps to pay via PayPal when you RSVP. Lets go to a Golf Driving Range!

Whether you have played golf or never played golf before this will be a lot of fun! I have reserved a few Bays and we will have 3 X people per bay. Its likely we will have some who have played golf before so we will get a person in each bay who has done it before. You can track on the Screen how far you have hit your shot and can compete with others :) At the event you will get your own Golf Club per pay and 180 balls (60 each) normally 60 balls takes around 30 minutes, so total time will be 90 mins. There are sofas in the bay where you can relax, also you can grab drinks from the bar and food / snacks. **Location** This will be at North Greenwich. Alton Towers Trip! (Travel & Ticket Included)

The Yearly Alton Towers Theme Park Trip is here again! We are going to do in style by going to Alton Towers which is considered to be the best Theme Park in the UK with its many type of RollerCoasters and beautiful landscape and scenery. Alton Towers has over 40 rides and attractions, so we will be sure to experience many of them in the day. Amazing Rollercoasters including: The Smiler, Oblivion, Nemesis, Galactica (Air), Wickerman, Rita, Thirteen and more... Also will be a great time with kids back at school, a quiet time, with low queue lengths expected! **Travel** We have hired a minibus which will be taking us from Stratford **Theme Park Plan** Because we are likely to have a large group. The plan will be to stick together for the first half of the day and for the second half we can split up so we can ride the rides we want and can partner up with others looking to go on similar ones, as we discuss over lunch. Our plan will be to ride as many of the rollercoasters as possible! Clifton Nurseries, & lovely walk along the Regents Canal to Kings Cross.

This a new walk, and is well worth doing, and is 6 miles approximately. We will meet at 11.00 am, for a hot drink at the cafe in Clifton Nurseries near Warwick Avenue Undeground Station. (This is a lovely Garden Centre and well worth visiting.} After our hot drink at 11.20 am, we will walk along The Regents Canal and to The Ice Wharf for a lunch {or bring our own}. With Camden Town Underground less than 10 minutes away. For those that would like to walk further, we can walk to Kings Cross and have a drink in The Parcel Yard in the station. £ 7 meetup fee required {please have the right change}.
