**Welcome to ALL NEW YORK STATE MANHUNT SATURDAYS.** **Every Saturday, Hunters and Runners take over New York for an afternoon-long game of strategy, movement and pursuit. Must be 21+** **🕒 GAME TIME** **3:00 PM – 9:00 PM** **🗽 FINAL MEETUP** **Midtown Manhattan** **Everyone must arrive between 9:00–10:00 PM.** **🎯 HOW IT WORKS** **Players are divided into Hunters and Runners.** **Every 90 minutes, everyone reveals their live location in the All Players chat for 15 minutes.** **You cannot be in the same location/neighborhood for two consecutive location reveals.** **Hunters must find and tag Runners.** **Every capture must be confirmed with a photo or video.** **If a Runner is caught after 7:00 PM, the Hunter and captured Runner begin making their way toward Midtown. If you got caught before 7pm you’re out the game but can link up with someone else to chill while they playing.** **At 9:00 PM, the hunt ends.** **🏆 THE STAKES** **Hunters win if all eligible Runners are captured.** **Runners win if at least one eligible Runner survives until the end.** **Everyone must make the Midtown meetup by 10:00 PM or be disqualified.** **🍻 LOSING TEAM BUYS THE WINNING TEAM A ROUND.** **⚠️ This is a social game. No tackling, restraining, fighting, dangerous chasing, trespassing or interfering with members of the public.** **Come ready to move.** **Same city. Different game.** **REAL PEOPLE. REAL CITY. REAL FUN.**

**TRAIL WORK (which was canceled Sept. 13th due to steady rain) will continue rerouting the Hogenauer Trail** (we are making progress!) up the slope and away from recently installed property fences. **Meet At:** Dog Park/ Wildflower Preserve, 11 Bear Lane, Maplewood. From there, we will walk to Crater View on Crest drive and then to the Hogenauer trail work site. (Note: While we normally meet the first Sudnay of each month, this volunteer day was shifted after the Labor Day weekend.) Trail work is physically challenging but very satisfying as we use hand tools to build and repair trails. Participants must be 15+ years. Those younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants **should wear long pants** due to [ticks](https://www.somocon.org/?page_id=193928&fb) and thron bushes and sturdy shoes, and bring gloves (though backup gloves will be available). Tools, water, and a snack will be provided. (Registration is not required though if you sign up on Meetup, it helps us know how many tools to bring.) Only heavy, steady rain cancels.

Meet at Tulip Springs for a fun 4-5 mile hike . Bring water, snack and be ready to switch trails up. Leader: Donna Burkat, 973-454-5635 cell \*\*\* In registering for this or any other South Mountain Conservancy (SMC) programs in 2026 online, I hereby release and agree to hold the SMC, its volunteers, staff and Board of Trustees, harmless from and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act, in this SMC activity, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any other SMC activity. I understand that this release discharges the SMC from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives, may have against the SMC with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any SMC program. This liability waiver and release extends to the SMC along with Essex County and its staff and any other affiliated organization or SMC partner. If you have any questions, call the leader. **Temperatures above 90 degrees and steady rain cancels, but intermittent drizzle does not. You will *not* be notified.** **Bring water. Wear hiking boots, preferably waterproof with good soles and traction devices and bring poles (optional).** Dogs are not allowed on hikes unless specified. These hikes are publicized first to SMC members and then advertised to the public one week before a hike. There is a limit of 25 participants, so pre-registration is required at least two days before a hike to sign the liability waiver online and allow lists to be sent to hike leaders. **Saturday, September 26, 10:00 a.m.– 12:30 p.m.** Lenape Oakdale Combo from Tulip Springs. We will walk the Lenape to the Oakdale which we will hike in its entirety and then back. Meet at: Tulip Springs, 0.4 miles north of the light at S. Orange Ave. and Cherry Lane. Make an immediate right turn after exiting Cherry Lane.
