Repeat.* Open water, mountain views, and two of the Hudson Valley's best craft breweries. This is what a summer Saturday is supposed to feel like. We'll spend four hours paddling a stunning stretch of the Hudson River with sweeping panoramic views and fresh air in every direction, guided the whole way by a professional on the water. Then we'll pull off for stops at Two Way Brewing Co. and Newburgh Brewing Co., two standout Hudson Valley breweries with great beer, solid food, and the kind of laid-back atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. A pint at each, then back to the city feeling like you made the most of your weekend. This one is a summer staple for good reason. It sells out every year. **THE PLAN** 10:00 AM - Meet at The Standard Biergarten 10:30 AM - Depart NYC 12:30 PM - Arrive in Hudson + hit the water 4:30 PM - Finish kayaking + brewery visits 5:00 PM - Head back to NYC *Timing is approximate and subject to traffic and group pace.* **WHAT'S INCLUDED** * Roundtrip transportation from NYC * Kayak rental + all safety gear * Professional guide on the water * One pint of your choice at each brewery * Beverages for the ride home **WHAT TO BRING** * Weather-appropriate, paddle-friendly clothing * A dry bag if you have one * Sunscreen, water, and a snack **IMPORTANT** If you have any medical conditions or injuries, please consult your doctor before booking to make sure this trip is the right fit for you. Volunteer kayak training - ALL LEVELS
Tue, Sep 1, 10:00 PMJoin us for all levels kayak training session. You can just paddle on your own, or receive some instruction from basic to advance strokes. Our program is run entirely by volunteers, so please be kind and understanding! We take time out of our own schedules to do this. If you RSVP yes, please consider this a commitment to attend. If you cancel within 12 hours or are a no-show, the host keeps the right to temporarily or permanently ban you from all their meetups. Please sign up for up to one training per week, unless you are the trainer. Let others have fun! The host will move you to "Not going" if you sign up for more than one training per week. We'll check that folks have signed the annual waiver. If the training is full, but you would like to attend PLEASE JOIN THE WAITLIST. When a wait list forms, we do our best to recruit additional guides to be able to expand the training and accommodate everyone. TIMELINE * 6:00 PM - Meet at HCCB. Prepare equipment. * 6:30 PM - Move boats to beach * 6:35 PM - Practice in the cove. Depending on the group maybe take a little trip * 8:00 PM - Return to boathouse * 8:15 PM - Clean and put away equipment * 8:45 PM -Training ends

Advanced Level Paddlers - Liberty to Freedom Swim Support - 13 mile round trip

If more people that qualify have signed up than needed, I'll more people to the waitlist in the order they signed up.** \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* **Swim support - Advanced Level - 13 mile round trip** Our original and biggest swim support! We will be guiding swimmers from the WTC to Liberty Island. Right after we'll do a second round with another set of swimmers from Liberty Island to WTC. That means we will paddle for 11.5 miles without landing! 4.5 miles of this paddle will be just you paddling alone and guiding your swimmer across the Hudson River. **PREREQUISITES TO RSVP:** 1. You received an invitation to join by host or Urban Swim. Host will review prerequisites and experience with paddlers individually **COME PREPARED:** * Lots of Water * Snacks and food * Your Urban Swim shirt if you have one * Sunscreen * Hat * Change of clothes * Anything else you may need to spend 8 hours outside under the sun **TIMELINE** **Leg 1 - 3.5 miles - Paddle to South Cove** * 7:45 AM - Meet at the boathouse, get equipment ready * ***7:55 AM - Please arrive no later than this time. Robbins Reef: Advanced Volunteer Trip - 15 miles total
Sat, Sep 12, 8:00 AM*This trip is open to those who have volunteered in 2026 during our **public embayments**.* Once the RSVP opens, you will be placed on a waitlist until the host reviews your volunteer status and to make sure you completed the qualifications below. We'll paddle to almost Staten Island. We'll check out a cool lighthouse, Robbins Reef. On the way there you'll paddle by Ellis Island and in front of Liberty Island.
