Building the wrong things faster. AI and the Build Trap
Tue, May 26, 8:00 AM**š¢ Hosted at:** Fabric Group **š Building the Wrong Thing Faster: AI and the Build Trap** AI has dramatically compressed the time it takes to build software. But it hasn't stopped us building products that nobody wants. If anything, it's accelerated the problem - to the point we've invented a new word for the output: ***slop***. Drawing on observations from Brendan's consulting work and conversations with friends at ***Google, Meta and Spotify***, He'll explore how this ***isn't really a new problem*** and why now, more than ever, we need human centricity, sound product strategy and product discovery. **š¤ Speakers:** ***Brendan Marsh*** is a Product & Org Advisor and Director at ***Organa***, where he helps organisations improve product strategy, org design and execution at scale. He previously served as ***Chief Product Officer*** of a mental health non-profit and spent five years at ***Spotify*** during its hyper-growth phase, first as an ***Agile Coach*** supporting innovation and product discovery teams and later as a ***Product Manager*** responsible for the Mac and Windows clients (40M+ MAU). ***Ruben Cardoso*** is the ***Head of Product & Design*** at ***Fabric Group***. An experienced UX/UI designer specialising in product design and delivery, with a strong track record running discovery-to-delivery cycles for large enterprise clients. ***Dzmitry Yaltykhau*** is the ***Delivery Practice Lead*** at ***Fabric Group.*** Leads large-scale product design and delivery programs end-to-end from presales through discovery, build and rollout while driving best practices, coaching and AI-accelerated ways of working across the team. **š Agenda:** Arrival and light refreshments Featured Talk Panel discussion with contributions from Fabric and the audience

Womenās circle: money mindset
Wed, Jun 3, 10:00 AMWelcome to the Money Mindset Circle - a warm, supportive space for women who are actively learning, growing, and reshaping their relationship with money together. This isnāt an expert-led workshop or lecture. Instead, itās a genuine circle of women showing up honestly, sharing challenges, celebrating wins, and keeping each other accountable on our financial journeys. Recent feedback from our community survey asked: Which womenās circles do you want to see? The top request, by far, was for a Money Mindset Circle - and thatās exactly what weāre creating together. Weāll gather over dessert, with delicious tiramisu to share as we talk, connect, and grow. In this circle, youāll find: * A judgment-free space to talk openly about money hopes, fears, and habits * Shared learning as we explore budgeting, saving, investing, and mindset shifts * Gentle accountability partners who cheer you on and call you in when you drift * Real conversation, not perfection - just women growing alongside each other If youāre ready to build a healthier money mindset with a community that gets it (and loves tiramisu), you belong here. Letās grow our financial confidence - together, one sweet bite at a time. P.s. this is a space for conversation, not pitches or sales scripts.

Freelancers/Entrepreneurs/Self-Employed Networking Night
Tue, Jun 9, 8:00 AMDo you run your own business or work for yourself and wish that you had a community of like-minded women who share the same experiences as you? If so, join us for a freelancers/entrepreneurs/self-employed networking night where we can share our stories over Asian-inspired street food and $2 dumplings. Entrepreneurship and self-employment can be a lonely journey. We go through unique things and experiences, and our ups and downs can feel a lot more intense. But there's no reason why we need to go through this experience alone, when we have a community of women who have experienced what you have, and might even be able to point you in the right direction. It doesn't matter if you're a startup founder, a self-employed designer, or a part-time freelance consultant; anyone and everyone who runs a business is welcome.
