Evolve is all about creating an Authentic Community, Deeper Connections, and Confident Growth. We are a group of entrepreneurial women who connect personally and professionally. We welcome every guest to experience our authentic community with no cliques and no judgment. Come as you are! There's a seat waiting for you. Elevate is an action-oriented connection experience designed to help women entrepreneurs move beyond surface-level networking and into meaningful growth, collaboration, and courageous action. Each session centers around a focused business or personal development topic, followed by intentional breakout discussions that encourage deeper conversations, real relationship-building, and practical next steps. Unlike traditional networking events, Elevate is designed to create momentum. Women are encouraged not only to share ideas, but to actively support one another through accountability, collaboration, brainstorming, and action-based growth. Every meeting is an opportunity to build authentic connections, gain fresh perspective, and leave with a clear action step to implement before the next session. This is a space where women rise together — not through competition or hustle culture, but through encouragement, courage, consistency, and intentional community. \*\*Evolve Women's Collective is a membership based professional women's group. Evolve isn’t about collecting business cards, perfecting your elevator pitch, or walking into a room feeling like you have to impress everyone. It’s about **community, connection, and growth—together.** Evolve Elite brings women entrepreneurs together for meaningful conversations, authentic relationships, collaborative problem-solving, and the kind of support that helps you move forward in both business and life. ### What to Expect **A Warm Welcome** You won’t be left standing alone wondering who to talk to. Our Welcome Team will help you get connected and feel part of the community from the moment you arrive. **Real Introductions** Tell us who you are, what you do, and what you're working toward. You don’t need the perfect pitch—just be you. **A Member Spotlight** Get to know one of the women in our community beyond what she does for a living. You’ll hear a little of her journey, what she’s learned along the way, and something practical that may help you on yours. **Meaningful Small-Group Conversations** This is where Evolve comes alive. Through guided breakout conversations, we’ll explore topics around business growth, leadership, confidence, connection, and personal development. You’ll have an opportunity to share your experiences, learn from other women, and work through real challenges together. **Women Helping Women** Every meeting includes an opportunity to ask: **“How can we help?”** Need an introduction? A resource? Feedback on an idea? A referral? An accountability partner? Share what would help you move forward and give others the opportunity to support you. **A Next Step** We don't want you to leave with pages of notes you'll never look at again. Our goal is for you to leave with a meaningful connection, a new perspective, a helpful resource, or a tangible next step you can actually use. ### You Belong in the Conversation You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Bring your questions. Bring your ideas. Bring your challenges. Bring your experience. **Come as you are—and be part of a community of women who confidently lead, courageously grow, and build thriving businesses and meaningful lives together.** Guests are always welcome. We’d love to meet you! For more information, contact Mentor Director Anne-Claire Van Aken at anneclaire.evolve@gmail.com.

Drunken Philosophy: Can you construct an authentic "self"?

Drunken Philosophy: Can you construct an authentic "self"?

Sat, Aug 22, 11:00 PM
From Drunken Philosophy of Columbus
4.7

Welcome to Drunken Philosophy, a casual, curious, social discussion club. Come grab a drink and a seat at The Oracle. There is a fascinating book called "You and Your Profile" where two current philosophy professors argue that there has been a historical progression of identity ideals from sincerity (allegiance to pre-defined social roles) to authenticity (discovery of an inner, true self), and finally to "profilicity", a term they created. Profilicity is defined as the creation of identity through curated public profiles, crafted for "second-order observation"—being seen as being seen. This new mode emphasizes performance and the management of multiple, dynamic personas across different platforms, suggesting that in our current era, identity is constructed through the images we present publicly rather than discovered within. So, the prompt is this: first, is there a true, inner "self" that you can authentically discover to be the "real, authentic" you? Second: whether you think there is an authentic self you can discover or you don't think so, do you think there is any authenticity in self-created profiles, particularly and especially on social media? This new mode emphasizes performance and the management of multiple, dynamic personas across different platforms, suggesting that in our current era, identity is constructed through the images we present publicly rather than discovered within. Do you agree that the new self often is one that is an identity based on a profile created online so that "second-order observation" by people you don't even know results in you "are seen being seen" by these unknown people? Many people will create different personas and profilicities on different platforms so how authentic can they be? Hope to see you at the Oracle this Saturday. As always the prompt is optional. Come for the conversation, stay for the drinks, and bring your own questions.

Think delicious meals prepared by a private chef, meaningful connection, cozy nights, faith-filled worship, little surprises, and space to rest, have fun, and feel like yourself again. After attending women’s retreats over the past five years, I’m creating Camp4Jesus with the very best parts of what I’ve experienced and loved most. My number one goal is to give you the chance to come back to the parts of yourself that feel soft, open, joyful, and fully alive. The part of you that still wants wonder. The part of you that wants real sisterhood. The part of you that wants to be with God in a way that feels honest, peaceful, and close. **No outside noise.
