Join us for a members-only screening of Joachim Trier’s *The Worst Person in the World* at the intimate Champagne Video Cinema and Bar. Joachim Trier’s sharp, funny, and deeply empathetic romantic drama follows a young woman as she grapples with love, ambition, and the chaos of her late twenties and early thirties in Oslo. It premiered to widespread critical acclaim at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where Renate Reinsve won the Best Actress award for her radiant, breakout performance. We’ll meet for drinks and conversation from **7:30pm**, with the film starting at **8:30pm** on **Thursday, 16 July**. **Location:** Champagne Video Cinema and Bar, 318 St. Georges Road, Fitzroy North. This is a non-theatrical members-only screening. New members are very welcome — you can join the film club with a **3-month minimum commitment for $45** (just **$15 per film**). Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker, a casual cinephile, or you simply want somewhere fun to be on a Thursday night, **you are absolutely welcome here**. Come say hi, grab a drink, and soak up the vibe. **Upcoming films** (subject to licensing): • Ruben Östlund’s *The Square* • Wong Kar-wai’s *Fallen Angels* • *The Adventures of Baron Munchausen* We can’t wait to see you there. 🥂 (if you are all ready a film club member message me directly so I can manually RSVP you).
