Talk details: Talk 1: Roll for Recap: Turning Session Chaos into Agent Powered Summaries by AJ Bajada In Roll for Recap, AJ walks through how vibe coding can bring a brand new feature to life for tabletop play. This time the focus is a Session Notes and Recap Engine that takes messy player notes, structures them, and transforms them into clear and entertaining summaries using skills.md and open weight models. No prophecy from the DM, no ancient architecture scrolls, just curiosity, instinct, and a willingness to let the notes and the agent fall where they may. AJ shows how raw session notes can become tactical recaps, narrative recaps, humorous recaps, and even radio show style summaries. Along the way you will see how skills.md shapes agent behaviour and how open weight models help the system stay consistent, expressive, and grounded in the rules and lore of the game. It is a real example of how vibe coding, when done with intention instead of chaotic neutral energy, can build useful agent features and bring a tabletop world to life with surprising speed and style. Talk 2: Local AI: Twenty Gigabytes and suspicious amount of confidence by Dennis Vroegop Somebody on your team has downloaded 20 gigabytes from Hugging Face and announced that you're now doing open-source AI. Nobody has read the licence. But it runs on a laptop, so apparently security is sorted too. A remarkable amount of confidence to extract from a progress bar. In this 45-minute session, we'll run models live on a laptop: no cloud, no API key, and no screenshot of something that worked last week. We'll cover what you've actually downloaded, why open weights aren't automatically open source, which models deserve your disk space, and what hardware you need. We'll also look honestly at speed, quality and cost. Then we'll tackle what "local" doesn't solve. A wrong answer doesn't become right because you paid for the electricity. And keeping data on your machine is a useful guarantee, not your entire security strategy. You'll leave knowing how to get useful results locally and when to choose local over cloud. With numbers and a working example. Which is a nice change from the unshakeable conviction of someone who has watched half a tutorial.

We will split up and walk around the cemetery taking inspiration from our surroundings for our sketches. This Masterclass photography workshop will be focused on teaching various Hollywood lighting techniques to achieve a movie like nostalgic feel. We will be covering how to control your ambient light while using stobe lighting and various light modifiers. It is important to note that attendees must have a good understanding of their own camera controls as will be working primarily in manual mode. Attendees to ensure their cameras have a hotshoe to accept a supplied strobe trigger. This is not another portfolio build. The aim is to teach you actual lighting techniques to elevate your photography to award winning levels over an intense 3 hours of creative lighting techniques. • Half hour group chat about finding your own creative style. Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! There is a timer countdown in the app so you know how long you have been there ⏰

Sketching at Bundoora Homestead

Hey Guys, For this event, we'll be sketching at Bundoora Homestead. A Queen Anne Federation styled, heritage home built in 1900 on Wurundjeri grounds by John Matthews and Vincent Smith. The property had previously served as a family home and repatriation facility before being refurbished as a public gallery in 2001. **Meetup Details:** We'll be meeting at the centre entrance at **11:00am** before making our way to the Cafe (adjacent to the exhibition entrance.) I've booked a table for 11 people. You guys can chill, draw, have something to eat/drink, and soak in the view of the Mansion gardens before viewing the exhibition upstairs. Or if you want, do it the other way around. *If you're looking to eat something substantial, I highly recommend having lunch beforehand as the cafe only serves light refreshments* **Public Transport and Parking:** **Route 86 tram** You can get off either at **Mt Cooper Dr** or **Greenwood Dr** to get to the homestead. **Mt Cooper Dr** (quicker route in my opinion) * Turn **Right onto Mt Cooper Dr** * Turn **Left at Boadle Rd** * Turn **Right on JV Smith Street (no through Road)** * **Walk Right on Snake Gully Dr** till you see a **wooden gate**, the main entrance is accessible from there. **Greenwood Dr:** * Turn Right onto Greenwood Dr and continue straight down the pathway near the cricket grounds till you see the homestead. **Parking:** * Parking is located directly in front of the venue and it's free :) Looking forward to meeting you guys there :)

Grief becomes problematic when the conditions needed to help us work with grief are absent.” - Francis Weller Our primary association with grief is the loss of a loved one but there are so many kinds of losses that don't have formal ceremonies that are important to honour. Unprocessed grief can accumulate in weight, dulling our senses and capacity for aliveness. This is a safe, supportive space for all shapes, sizes and textures of grief- for the loss of our loved ones, for the childhood we did not get to have, for the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and exiled, for friendships and relationships with ambiguous endings, for homes and communities we are distanced from and miss, for the suffering of the world and our fellow beings. This inclusive grief circle is also an advocacy for compassionate and attentive grief work, for reshaping our understanding of and relationship with grief. It is a holding space, a container, a time and a deep permission to acknowledge our emotions, our connections, the ways we have been touched and transformed, and our humanity. In this workshop, we will make a life story zine by sieving out core moments, memories, places, people, experiences, conversations and turning points that shape our precious life trajectory. You are invited to bring together many of these moments or zoom in into a specific theme or period of your life. Together, we will reflect on, celebrate and honour our rich journeys that have brought us here and imagine where we might go next. The zine does not have to be completed in the session, you are welcome to continue adding to it at home. All art materials provided, but feel free to bring your own photos, objects and materials. No experience necessary, just an open and curious body-mind Please note This workshop introduces Art Therapy as a practice but is not intended to replace individual or group therapy, which involves a deeper exploration of our histories, intentional collaboration and the building of a therapeutic relationship. This workshop is also not intended for emergency crisis support or intervention.
