1 DAY Film-jam No.127

Sat, Jul 11, 9:55 AM
From London Film Jam
4.8

This event will be for people to meet, go off and film, come back and enjoy the results. Whatever you want to do, be it film, act, direct or even just sort of hang around at the back then this is the event for you! MEET AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE NATIONAL THEATRE. If you are wondering what this group can provide for you, it’s above all else friendship with other like minded people, whether you are a screenwriter, director, cameraperson, actor etc etc. With that in mind, on Saturday we will do the following: 1. We’ll meet at the National Theatre on Southbank. 2. We’ll split into two groups (or more if needed) 3. Each team will try and beat the other teams to a pub in EC1 in London and edit (maybe) the film. BUT 4. Each team must make a 2 minute 30 seconds film on the way with a beginning middle and end, a solid story arc for the main character, etc. Remember to bring: 1. You and your enthusiasm 2. A camera (iPhones dslrs whatever) 3. Someone willing to do an edit after we arrive back at the on their computers All teams will then meet-up at a pub in EC1 and watch what we have filmed, happy with what they have learnt! The first team that finishes gets a Small Prize! Hopefully then, you will stick around to have a great time chatting about film, meeting new people, and forgetting about work until the late hours. Look forward to seeing you there! If there are no more places available on meetup then MORE tickets available on eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/ben-52750032443 Please Check Dates as this isnt a weekly meetup

It encourages spontaneity and connection in a playful, non-judgemental way. #### Who We Are Karo and Avril have over **20 years of cumulative experience** within the improv community. 1 MONTH Film Jam (free) 1

1 MONTH Film Jam (free) 1

Sat, Aug 8, 10:00 AM
From London Film Jam
4.8

London Film Jam has been an incredible success, with over 300 films completed in 4 years! It has been a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and work together on many projects, learning new skills along the way. For everyone who got involved it has been a great opportunity to see their ideas actually realised and translated to screen. The ‘1 Month Film Jam’ is the next level and will be your opportunity to pitch your own idea, and see it actually made into an accomplished short, using the diverse skills of the group to make that a reality. And even if you don’t have an idea to pitch, you will be able to help out on any idea in any way you want, from writing to directing to acting to cinematography to editing to etc etc. Add that to your portfolio! As the finished films will be premiered at the Film Jam social on Sunday the 6th of September. Use it however you want! A period drama or a dark and dangerous film noir or even just a silly prop and everything in between. On the 8th, the structure will go like this: 11-11.30: Meet at the location. Talk and get to know each other. 11.30 Pitches. If you want to, this is your opportunity to pitch your idea to the group. Remember the theme of 'Halloween'! 11.45 : The group will vote on the most popular ideas. The most popular ideas will be chosen. The number of ideas chosen will be dependent on the size of the group (so if it is 30+ people then 4 projects, 20+ 3 projects etc etc) 12pm onwards: People will divide up into the projects that appealed to them, create exclusive WhatsApp groups for these projects, and start fleshing out the storyline, shooting schedule etc; role allocation in terms of actors writers, camera, director, producer (!) etc. Please note, the structural integrity of the original idea must be respected and anyone who joins a particular project to develop the story must know this. Then you have 1 month to make your film in time for the big premiere on the 6th of September. Also, please don’t think that because you joined one project it excludes you from others, it doesn’t. You can be involved in as many as you wish. 8th August – 6th September- We will shoot our short films over this month at convenient times for everyone. 6th September – Premiere and Wrap party at Cold Harbour Blue cinema! The effectiveness of joining this group is that you no longer have to procrastinate and you’ll be able to make films. If this is something you want to make a career out of then you’ll be able to add this to your portfolio. Max Film Length - 10 mins Please use the supplied "Film Jam" animated ident in your credits Thanks Look forward to seeing you there. Dust off that DSLR sitting in the corner and let’s make films! If you would like to pitch an idea please message me so I know who is doing what. Thanks! Complete rules and legal stuff here : [1 Month Jam (jamfilm.co.uk)](https://www.jamfilm.co.uk/1-month-jam/) or in the groups 'About' page
