Sexual performance anxiety and philosophy

A group for men to discuss sexual performance anxiety and the philosophy of sex in a non judgemental environment. Whether a past experience you want to talk about, a present emotion, or you just have an interest in discussing the philosophy of sex and masculinity in the 21st century. A lot of everyday male matters are not discussed in society for fear of looking weak when I think a lot of what drives this can often mean the opposite, and can be complex and emotional. Conversations with my own friends reveal many men have experiences that they repress and don’t discuss. Aiming this at like minded men who are happy to have a non judgemental conversation and help one and other towards self actualisation. We play every Sunday afternoon (times may vary slightly week on week). **What is Social Sport?** Social Sport was set up to face two main challenges in cities like London: 1. Limited opportunities for those moving here to meet new people and socialise in a genuine, healthy way. 2. Lack of casual sports clubs for young professionals. We started with our New Sport Every Week session, voted for by people in our community. Since then, we have played over 21 different sports. Our weekly casual sessions allow us to create communities around certain sports. **Please note this session is popular and has a set number of places. TEiP X MOONSTRUCK • PHILOSOPHY & COFFEE | Thought Experiments in Public

Meetup glitches; here's the backup: **[MAILING LIST](https://thoughtexperiments.kit.com/36b38902fa)** We're heading to one of the top 10 cafes in London for a special event about the PHILOSOPHY OF COFFEE ☕️ In July, I met up with a TEiP community member, Lionel Crasto (who also happens to be an award winning barista and coffee ambassador) to talk about philosophy and coffee. He said to me that *"when it comes to the philosophy of coffee, it just depends how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go".*.. we went deep! Together we're bringing you three thought experiments paired with coffee tasting (decaf options available). The event will be at Moonstruck Cafe, one of the top 10 coffee shops in London (Best Coffee Guide) and top 20 in the whole of Europe! What better place to explore the philosophy (and taste) of coffee? **Spaces are very limited, so get your ticket early if you want to be there 😊** MORE INFO **The idea:** A chance to meet and talk meaningfully about thought provoking topics. **How we'll do it** (timings approximate): * 6:30pm - Arrive at Moonstruck. * Organise ourselves into small groups (3-4) * Have a look at the **thought experiments** (announced on the day of the event) * 6:45 - First rotation begins - Talk about the first thought experiment, but feel free to pursue tangents and anecdotes. * 7:05 - Reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the second thought experiment. * 7:30 - Reshuffle: swap groups, move on to the third thought experiment. * 7:55 - Wrap up - hear about upcoming events, feedback/requests for future meetups. * 8:00 Meetup ‘ends’. 🔭NASA Confirms Life on Mars: View With Wine, Music & Telescopes ☾P Date☽🪐

If you're looking for sensational headlines - my group is defo not for you! But seriously - do you look up and marvel with insatiable curiosity at both the beauty and the wonder of the **universe?** How it began, our place in it, how life evolved and where else in the cosmos other non-microbial life might live (every star you see has exoplanets orbiting (some are rocky Earth like planets like ours with atmospheres) so u have to be naively delusional to believe we are alone in the universe)? **And no I didn't make it up - unless you've been in hibernation or have zero idea about Humanity's greatest endeavours - you'll know NASA really have found the best evidence to date of ancient life on Mars following further scientific verification of the biological signatures of current microbe life discovered on Venus a few years ago.** So we'll defo take a look at the red planet as well the majestic rings of **Saturn and it's** potential life harbouring moon, , the international space station, Tau Ceti star with **2 Earth like planets** orbiting in the habitable zone, remnants of **supernova** witnessed by our early ancestors plus a range of other fascinating celestial wonderments (comets, star systems, **galaxies**) over drinks and engaging chats and banter this Aug fully hosted by me - a passionate amateur astronomer and former global Reuters journalist covering cutting edge big picture science related stories. In between observing - we'll have **drinks and engaging chats** on all astronomy related topics for those inclined (Astrobiology, SETI/Femi Paradox, cosmology, space exploration, exoplanetology, astrophysics etc) as well as non space chatter and banter too. No doubt I'll hear the usual jokes we've all heard hundreds of times before! If those don't make you laugh, then my impersonation of Los Angeles ET will! 👽 **====Free Astronomy Club =====** Over the years we have enjoyed numerous social evenings of stargazing and thought provoking chatter with people of all ages and varying levels of astronomy knowledge - so complete beginners that are genuinely curious about the universe are very welcome. If you are just looking to meet generic randoms that you have nothing in common with / share passio**ns** then there are other groups that easily cater for that. The world renowed **BBC Television Sky at Night** also attended our events pre covid and interviewed some of us for it's show that aired on BBC1 in Feb 2019. BBC **Radio London** (94.9 FM / digital) were there Aug 2023 to cover our meteor shower event broadcasting live to millions of Londoners for 3 hours You don't need a telescope as you will be able to view through scopes belonging to me and other club members (as long as you behave responsibly and don't temper with expensive equipment). If you have your own telescope/binoculars feel free to bring along and I can help you setting it up if you're a newbie. **====ITINERARY=====** We will meet outside Camden Station. After a short wait for anyone delayed, I will escort everyone to our observation point in the park about 15-20 minutes walk away and brief you in terms of what to expect, observing etiquette, tips, equipment handling and take any questions you have - weather general or astronomy/cosmology related. **After Drinks:** on work nights - unless I have a important 9AM Thursday deadline for a client presentation I need to deliver or something - most of us usually head our way back to Camden for another drink till about 1am. TEiP SUMMER CAMP • FREE RETREAT • Location TBD | Thought Experiments in Public

**A free day retreat under the trees of London, co-produced by our community.** **WHY:** Humans are naturally creative, naturally social, and naturally part of nature. Modern life squeezes our creativity, our time together, and our time outside. We want to make space (physically, temporally, economically) for people to come together, be creative, and connect with nature. **How does this connect to THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS IN PUBS (TEiP)?** TEiP has become a thriving community because our events create opportunities for people to get straight into meaningful, imaginative, creative conversations. We want to take that imagination and creativity to the next level. We've met so many people with skills and ideas to share, and so many people up for trying new things. So we're creating an opportunity for people to share and learn from one another in the same openminded, relaxed spirit as TEiP.
