One of the best breweries in the city; one of the most popular trivia formats. Worthy of checking out. Take two as the prior date was full. A table for 6 is the largest you can book so this time I have booked two tables for two teams. Enjoy your Labour Day with beer and trivia.

What makes a true "community"🤔

What makes a true "community"🤔

Wed, Sep 9, 11:00 PM
From The Casual Philosophers

What makes a true "community," and why do so many people feel isolated today despite being more digitally connected than at any point in human history? While we have endless ways to message, follow, and react to one another online, many of us still experience a quiet sense of loneliness in our day-to-day lives. In this in-person event, we’re stepping away from the screens to explore what genuine human connection actually looks like in the modern world. Let's explore questions like: \- What is the fundamental difference between having "connections" and having a true sense of "belonging"? \- Does digital communication make it too easy to present an idealized version of ourselves\, preventing genuine human connection? \- What is one small\, ritual or habit in daily life that could help rebuild real\-world community ties? Add your own questions as event comments. Share any references to read, listen to, or watch that may enrich the conversation
