Boys Who Play Games: ACON Games Night: November 2026 - Halloween Edition

For those that are interested, we have been kindly invited to a Board & Social Games Night in collaboration with the Sydney Gay Asian Men Meetup group and SocialisAsians. Please get your ACON ticket then add yourself to the Meetup waitlist. This will inform me to cross-check the registration in the back end and move you across to the Meetup's attending list This Games Night is a way for same-sex attracted Asian men (with lineage from North, South, East and West Asia) men plus their supportive allies to be themselves, have fun and be social in a safe environment. We'll start the night with housekeeping announcements, and perhaps a quick ice breaker. Feel free to bring your lovely selves, snacks (particularly healthy snacks - they seem to popular) and soft drinks/juices to share, and your own food/dinner if you get too hungry. For those who like to join us, we may be having dinner/drinks after the event. You can bring your own board games that you'd like to play or play the ones that we bring along. In the past this included Taboo, Anagrams, Sequence, Monopoly Deal, Exploding Kittens, Werewolf, Mahjong, Sequence, Connect 4, Sushi Go, Monopoly Deal and even more! Invite your partners, friends or anyone who is interested in board games. This particular event is open to guys who are not Asian identifying but are supportive allies but ideally should be invited and accompanied from someone from the Gay Asian community... not like a stranger walking in from the street. Monday Board Games!

Where: We can be found in the dining area to the left of the entrance, behind the bar. Make sure to come in and say hi when you get there! Everyone is super friendly and can point you towards a moderator if you are new. When: From 6:30 pm till 10:30 pm every Monday Ages: 18+ Price: $6 to be paid by card We are a relaxed group of gamers who meet to play a few games and have a laugh. Mondays are a time to play any game you feel like. We are a friendly community and new people are welcome all the time! If you don't have a game to play then there is sure to be someone available to teach you. Make sure to go up to a table and introduce yourself, we are all really friendly. Looking forward to seeing you all at an event soon! **Venue Support Policy** Our board game nights are hosted by a food and drink venue that generously provides us with space each week and allows us to store our games. In return, we have an agreement to support the venue by purchasing food and drinks on site. To respect this agreement and ensure we can continue using the space, **outside food and drink are strictly not permitted at our events**. We ask all participants to please support the venue instead when attending. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive relationship with the venue and keep the group running.

Bondi Board Games - ECBG Friday Meetup

We are ECBG, the Eastern Community Boardgame Group and we meet every Friday at 7pm. Come join us to experience lots of fun with board games, card games, social deduction games and more! We're a friendly group with a diverse group of attendees and welcome everyone to participate. Feel free to come along whether you're a seasoned veteran or just want to try out the hobby. We have lots of people that bring games along and they're all happy to teach games to new players. Bring your own games if you like too, announce the game you wish to run and you'll find players within our group. If you're new, don't worry about lack of numbers in prior attendance lists, we typically have 20-35 players each week. Attendance at our meetups is free, but Easts Club do require you to sign in to enter the club so valid ID is required. Although optional, if you start to attend our free events regularly, you may wish to consider joining Easts as a member in which case there is a small per year membership fee (under $10) to Easts and comes with perks and discounts. You can inquire further on this with Easts direct as you enter the club. We generally meet in the auditorium area next to Artie's Bar on Level 1. Sometimes when there is an event on, we might be in Artie's Bar itself instead. Club staff should be able to direct you to us if you're lost. Just ask where the Free Board Gaming Group is located known as ECBG. Note there is a smaller project group that operate within Easts on a Friday night as well, that charge an attendance fee so be clear you're looking for the free community boardgames group ECBG and you'll find us. Ticket to Ryde

Gaming Meetups Ticket to Ryde (T2R) holds an open, social tabletop gaming meetup on Wednesdays, from 6:30pm until late. This includes all sorts of board games, card games, dice games, etc. (see the Games We Play section below for more details). We typically meet at the West Ryde Hotel (corner Victoria Road, Chatham Road & Dickson Lane). You'll find us hanging out in the Function Room, affectionately referred to as the Fish Bowl. If you enter from Dickson Lane, walk up the steps to the beer garden area and we'll be immediately on your right. On occasion, we may be forced to meet at another venue, so double check the forums on our Board Game Geek (BGG) webpage for the latest. Everyone is welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The hotel's function room and amenities are ambulant disability accessible, however, please be aware our alternate venues may not be. While there is no cost to attend, we're encouraged to support the hotel by purchasing food from the bistro and drinks from the bar. Many like to arrive early to order and eat dinner in the function room, before the gaming begins. Public transport, walking or cycling are ideal ways to travel to and from the venue.
