Our aim is to provide a supportive community for speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy and horror etc) writers at all levels, offering a platform for networking, dedicated writing time, craft discussions, and publication tips. Whether you're just starting or an established wordsmith, join us on the 4th Wednesday of each month at Chatswood Library. **[RSVP through the library](https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/wednesday-speculative-writing-night-tickets-813545274817)** *In addition to RSVPing here on Meetup, please register at the link above so we can keep track of numbers as we are promoting across different platforms.* **Schedule:** **5:30 - 6:00 pm:** Introductions and casual chat **6:00 - 7:30 pm:** 'Focus & Write' session **7:30 - 8:30 pm:** Continue writing, or socialise and share your progress **What to bring:** Your work-in-progress, whether on screen or paper. Connect with fellow writers, explore the speculative fiction realm, and let your imagination soar at our regular writing meetups. **[How to get there](https://libraries.willoughby.nsw.gov.au/Locations-and-Hours/Chatswood-Library)** **Public transport**: Chatswood Library is located in The Concourse, 350m from major Chatswood transportation hubs, including Chatswood train station and Chatswood bus interchange. **Parking**: Parking is available at The Concourse car park accessible on Ferguson Lane via Archer St ONLY. Parking rates can be found [here](https://www.theconcourse.com.au/visit/parking/). The library has lift access from The Concourse car park and from The Concourse, ground and upper levels. Parking is also available at Chatswood Chase adjacent to The Concourse on the corner of Archer St and Victoria Ave. The first 3 hours parking are free. **Cycle**: Bicycle parking is available at library entrance. **Accessibility** For participants requiring stair-free access, this is available through the Ferguson Lane entrance through the parking garage. Ride shares or taxis should be directed to drop off at that location. If further assistance is needed please let the Meetup coordinators know in advance and we will do our best to assist. Please be advised that access from Victoria Ave does consist of a significant flight of steps up into the Concourse area. **Our meeting room** We are in the **Creator Space**, straight down the main aisle from the front desk, though the sign may be obscured by books. If you are unable to locate the Creator Space, ask the staff at the front desk for its location; they are expecting us. Do note a 'yes' RSVP on Meetup does not confirm your place, **[please RSVP through the library](https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/wednesday-speculative-writing-night-tickets-813545274817)** so they can set out enough places for us on the night. Rock up. Grab a drink. Play something good. That's been the deal at The Art Syndicate for over two years — and the regulars keep proving it works. This isn't a one-off event or a gimmick. It's a proper weekly night at a proper bar, with a games library that'll surprise you and drinks that won't empty your wallet. **$10 bar spend gets you in.** Wine, beer, non-alcoholic **one drink or snack and you're set for the night.** For sydney on a weeknight, that's hard to beat when new games are bought in on the regular. External food is welcome. For those just finishing work we often eat together. Our hosts Lisa and Saxon know the collection inside out. Whether you want something fast and social, a deep strategy game, or you've never picked up a board game in your life — you'll be sorted in five minutes. We've got titles that'll become your new favourites and rare gems for the dedicated gamers. The room fills up with people who came once and never stopped coming back. Solo, with friends, or somewhere in between — it works either way. Come find out why. **🎲 What's on the table** **Party & social** Coyote · Exploding Kittens · Ghost Court · Here to Slay · Monikers · Munchkin · No Ducks Given · Sushi Go · Telestrations · Trolley Problem · Uno: No Mercy · A Fake Artist Goes to New York **Social deduction** Blood on the Clocktower · Codenames · Coup **Strategy** Arcs · Carcassonne · Catan · Railroads · Sidereal Confluence · Ticket to Ride: Europe **Mystery & investigation** Awkward Guests · Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective · This Game is Killer: Frozen Horrors **Co-op** Magic Maze · Pandemic Legacy · Puzzle Box **Team** Captain Sonar **Classics** Cards · Chess · Scrabble *Want something specific? Her Tribe | Women’s Business Networking

Sat, Jun 6, 3:00 AM
From Her Collective Space | Dream Big, Build Bigger
4.7

A monthly structured Networking Event designed for women who want to grow not only personally, but also in their business. Through meaningful conversations, and thought-provoking reflection questions, we challenge ourselves to think bigger, move with more clarity, and step outside of our comfort zones. 📝 **How it works** 1\. You’ll be welcomed and seated at a table with a reflection prompt to start the conversation\. 2\. Each round focuses on a different question designed to challenge your thinking and open up honest discussions around business and personal growth\. 3\. Every 20 minutes\, we rotate tables so you can connect\, share\, and gain new perspectives from different women in the room\. By the end, you'll walk away with fresh perspectives, new connections, and a little more clarity on what matters to you. **🔎 How to Find Rabbit Bar** Rabbit Bar can be tricky to spot: 1. Go to the ground floor of **The Galeries** 2. Look for **Toastie Smith** 3. Behind it, you’ll see a semi-enclosed area 4. Walk down into that area 5. On your right, you’ll see a doorway. Enter it 6. Then look for another open door immediately to your right. That’s **Rabbit Bar**! 📲 **Got questions?** Feel free to message me here on Meetup. **Looking forward to a room full of real talk. See you there! xx** \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **Want to learn more about Her Collective Space?** Follow us on [Instagram](http://www.instagram.com/hercollectivespace)
