Our aim is to provide a supportive community for speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy and horror etc) writers at all levels, offering a platform for networking, dedicated writing time, craft discussions, and publication tips. Parking rates can be found [here](https://www.theconcourse.com.au/visit/parking/). The library has lift access from The Concourse car park and from The Concourse, ground and upper levels. Parking is also available at Chatswood Chase adjacent to The Concourse on the corner of Archer St and Victoria Ave. The first 3 hours parking are free. **Cycle**: Bicycle parking is available at library entrance. **Accessibility** For participants requiring stair-free access, this is available through the Ferguson Lane entrance through the parking garage. Ride shares or taxis should be directed to drop off at that location. If further assistance is needed please let the Meetup coordinators know in advance and we will do our best to assist. Please be advised that access from Victoria Ave does consist of a significant flight of steps up into the Concourse area. **Our meeting room** We are in the **Creator Space**, straight down the main aisle from the front desk, though the sign may be obscured by books. If you are unable to locate the Creator Space, ask the staff at the front desk for its location; they are expecting us. Games Night in Maroubra at First Games

First Games Maroubra is situated in the heart of Maroubra, above Lovely Dogs and next to Mortgage Choice (cnr Boyce and Anzac Parade). Free parking and great buses. FREE for first-timers, kids, NDIS (and their carers) ... $5 for everyone else. There are always people in attendance, even if they haven't RSVP'd here. We were only closed once last year and that was Xmas to NY week. There is a games library and many of us also bring our own games too. There are lots of food places all around the area. Waitlisters will not be accepted to play\.** *** **SAFETY NOTE 1:** **This is a reminder to implement correct ball etiquette for our multi-use courts: when your ball rolls onto another court, DO NOT chase after it.** **Call “ball” and the next player to serve on your court puts their paddle in the air to indicate who the ball should be passed to.** **The court which has received the ball stops playing immediately, the ball is picked up and passed THROUGH THE AIR to whoever is the server needing the ball. Their point is replayed.** **Do not swipe the ball off the court, or roll it on the ground and please ask who the server is. This speeds up the game for both courts and improves safety issues.** **SAFETY NOTE 2:** **When going to and from courts please egress via the perimeter of the venue NOT BETWEEN COURTS. Bondi Board Games - ECBG Friday Meetup

We are ECBG, the Eastern Community Boardgame Group and we meet every Friday at 7pm. Come join us to experience lots of fun with board games, card games, social deduction games and more! We're a friendly group with a diverse group of attendees and welcome everyone to participate. Feel free to come along whether you're a seasoned veteran or just want to try out the hobby. We have lots of people that bring games along and they're all happy to teach games to new players. Bring your own games if you like too, announce the game you wish to run and you'll find players within our group. If you're new, don't worry about lack of numbers in prior attendance lists, we typically have 20-35 players each week. Attendance at our meetups is free, but Easts Club do require you to sign in to enter the club so valid ID is required. Although optional, if you start to attend our free events regularly, you may wish to consider joining Easts as a member in which case there is a small per year membership fee (under $10) to Easts and comes with perks and discounts. You can inquire further on this with Easts direct as you enter the club. We generally meet in the auditorium area next to Artie's Bar on Level 1. Sometimes when there is an event on, we might be in Artie's Bar itself instead. Club staff should be able to direct you to us if you're lost. Just ask where the Free Board Gaming Group is located known as ECBG. Note there is a smaller project group that operate within Easts on a Friday night as well, that charge an attendance fee so be clear you're looking for the free community boardgames group ECBG and you'll find us.
