Mafia Games (and Social) - Beginner Friendly

**Welcome to Mafia Games (and Social) London Waterloo!** With summer having arrived, we thought we’d have a few games of Mafia for beginners and new players! The plan is to meet at 18:00 at [The Hercules](https://www.thehercules.co.uk/), Lambeth, 2 Kennington Rd, London SE1 7BL (Carousel Room, Second Floor) We will be playing a few games of Mafia, if you are new you are very welcome to come - the game is easy to learn (but difficult to master!) **Do I need to know anything beforehand?** This is a casual **beginner-friendly** event, and most of you will be playing with us for the first time. You will get to play many games. Most importantly, this is a social activity, so feel free to talk to anyone between the games and have fun! **What is Mafia?** Have you seen 'The Traitors'? Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game; it can get competitive, but it's easy to learn. We play at multiple tables. You get a secret role and work with your team to win. A game lasts about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. While this is a **beginner-friendly** event, we also host tournaments and online events with more experienced players from around the world. You will quickly see that the game has two phases: **Night:** * The Mafia secretly targets a Citizen * The *Don* (Mafia) learns if a player is the *Sheriff* * The *Sheriff* (Citizen) learns if someone is Mafia ☀️ **Day:** * Each player says in their turn who they think the Mafia are * Then, everyone votes publicly to eliminate one player The game continues until the Mafia are eliminated or they outnumber (or equal) the Citizens. This meetup is to reserve a 6x4 table to play whatever you like! An appropriate mat and terrain will be provided on the day. Please make sure you state your game system, opponent(s) name in the meetup question answer when you sign up. **NOTE**: This meet up is for 6 x 4 tables only, if you would prefer a smaller table, please book via our 'Small Tables' meetup. -Join us for a thrilling mahjong night filled with intricate strategies and social interactions. -All level welcome. Come and challenge your skills, learn new techniques, and make new friends in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. -Location: The Cricketers Pub, Richmond Green TW9 1LX. (Near Richmond Upon Thames station) -Meetup fee £5.00 cash per person to be paid at the venue. We will be at the back of the pub.

Relaxed Mafia (Beginner Friendly)

## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. If you can't afford this though, then don't let this stop you coming! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Whether you’re old or new to the club, we would love to have you join us! We are situated in the main bar area and have tables suitable for games taking 4-6 players. We encourage you to discuss any games you would like to play, or will be bringing in the chat. Please note we do not have a stock of games. We rely on members bringing their own games. 
Parking is available on some nearby streets. There is also some limited parking outside the venue. 
Attending members will be asked to pay £1 per Meetup (card/contactless only) to the club organisers. The fee helps pay for our Meetup subscription and venue memberships.
