Built by Lunch: build your first AI app - for women, no experience needed

Built by Lunch: build your first AI app - for women, no experience needed

Thu, Sep 10, 8:15 AM
From Build with AI: Workshops & Coworking

**Curious about building an app, but never written a line of code? This is for you.** Built by Lunch is a hands-on morning for 6 women, hosted around the dining table of a beautiful home right on Portobello Road. In one focused session you'll go from idea to a real, working web app - live on your laptop by 1pm, yours to keep and show off. I'll guide you through every step, and you'll leave knowing how to keep building without me. Complete beginners only — no technical background needed. The pace is welcoming, every basic question is a good question, and nobody gets left behind. **The morning:** 9:15 — Arrive. Proper coffee, introductions, what we're building 10:00 — Hands-on: your first app with Claude, step by step 12:15 — Finishing touches, then show & tell: every app demoed, every builder applauded 1:00 — Leave with your working app, and an invite to Session 2: Ship It — where we take your app live on the internet with its own real URL At the end of the morning I'll take one app live in front of you, so you can see exactly where this goes next. **What you'll need:** any laptop and a Claude Pro account (\~£18/month, cancel anytime — it's the same tool you'll keep building with afterwards). I'll send simple set-up steps when you book; it takes 10 minutes and there's nothing else to install. **Details:** 6 seats only. Great coffee included. Exact address sent after booking. **Founding session price: £95** (rising to £120). In return I'll ask for honest feedback and a photo or two. *Hosted by Sarah — I build with Claude every day, and I'd rather teach you in my front room than a conference centre.*

🍻 **Join Us for Tech Startups in the Pub!** 🍻 Hey there! 🌟 We'd love for you to join us for our next edition of *Tech Startups in the Pub*. It's a relaxed evening at The Windmill, our go-to spot for tech chats and good vibes. We have been running for 3.5 years, and it's always a joy to see familiar faces and meet new folks. Whether you're a regular, a tech founder, an enthusiast, a budding entrepreneur, or simply curious about the tech scene, you'll fit right in. This isn't about panels or pitching, just good old-fashioned networking with like-minded people over a drink (and maybe some pizza) on a Friday evening. 📍 **Where:** The Windmill, 27 Tabernacle St, Shoreditch, London EC2A 4DE 🕕 **When:** From 6 PM on the 3rd Friday of every month! **House Rules:** * Find Oliver, Pedro, Rob, or the other Rob (or anyone in a burgundy T-shirt) to introduce yourself so we can welcome you properly. The pub isn't reserved exclusively for us, so we don't want you mingling with someone's birthday party by mistake! * No hard selling or heavy pitching. This is a chill, friendly after-work get-together. * Not drinking? No worries! You're more than welcome to come hang out and enjoy the conversation. Mark your calendar and come down for some fun tech talk. See you there!
