On Thanksgiving Day 1976, The Band took the stage with an extraordinary lineup — including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Paul Butterfield, Mavis Staples, Stephen Stills, and more — for what became one of rock's most celebrated farewell concerts. Blending live performances with candid conversation, Scorsese turns the night into a cinematic reflection on The Band's legacy and rock and roll's evolution. Released in 1978, the same year Winterland closed, The Last Waltz preserves the memory of one of San Francisco's great cultural landmarks while standing as one of the most influential music documentaries ever made. ▪︎ **Watch Here: (Mavis Staples whispers Beautiful! at the end. 😊)** https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2eTW8qZBtk 🔸️ Kanbar Hall, located inside the JCCSF at 3200 California St., reopens after a $2.5 million renovation featuring Dolby Atmos surround sound, 4K projection, and enhanced acoustics for an immersive film experience.

Spanning the 1950s to the 2020s, Friedlander’s photographs of Maria constitute one of the longest extended portraits in the history of visual art. While the approximately 50 photographs chronicle the unfolding of the couple’s relationship, they simultaneously chart the evolution of Friedlander’s artistic vision. 🎬 **You Can See Everything -- Metreon (& Lunch)** • You will likely have no idea what you have just seen, besides that it's simply, unabashedly, unashamedly brilliant. -Rolling Stone • Not just the film of the year—it’s a documentary that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the form’s all-time greats. -The Daily Beast • There is something extremely satisfying in watching a strange and compelling chemistry building within a reality distortion field. -Guardian 🔆 Thirty-four days before she reports to prison, Elizabeth Holmes, the notorious Theranos founder, invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. In You Can See Everything, the provocative new documentary from directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, what begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending, three-year descent into the abyss, one that stretches far beyond a straightforward profile. Along the way, the film becomes a fascinating exploration of truth, perception, and identity, and of the slippery boundary between documentary and performance. • **Movie Trailer:** https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QGnMs5c0Nu4 ▪︎ **Purchase your ticket here:** (I have seat F13) https://www.amctheatres.com/showtimes/147240147/seats ▪︎ **Message me when you've got a ticket** and I'll take you off the waitlist. ▪︎ **Meet at 11:00** in the Metreon food court. I'll be at a central table. ▪︎ **PLEASE don't be a no-show.** If your plans change, remember to update your RSVP prior to the event. ▪︎ **A late cancellation** will count as a no-show.
