Join other Gaymers this evening to work on your DIY project with others and show off your work in progress! Come chat, craft, and work on whatever project you wish! (Or just chill with us!) The only thing you have to do is bring your project, materials, and yourself! Reclaiming our Human Future from Big Tech

This is the inaugural meeting of the Luddite Society of Toronto. A group that seeks to fight for a future where we can live as human beings, not just as consumers of digital "content". Resisting the agenda of the most powerful, wealthy, and influential industry in the world is not easy. And it is not something any of us can do on our own. It is only by working together that we have a chance to make a change. This initial meeting will deal primarily with three discussion topics: 1. How to fight back against big tech's narrative of an "inevitable" digital future 2. How to cultivate healthier digital media consumption habits 3. How to engage with non-digital forms of art, craft, and entertainment All are welcome! We simply ask that you show kindness and courtesy, engage with others respectfully, and follow the rules given by the event moderator. Thank you!

Learn how to create amazing cinematic images in small spaces. This is a great chance to shoot in a historic space with an amazing model and some great Elinchrom equipment. **Location: Scadding Cabin, Exhibition Place**Our Photography Lighting Workshop takes place at the historic **Scadding Cabin** — Toronto’s oldest surviving house. Built in 1794 by John Scadding, an immigrant from Devonshire, the log cabin originally stood on the east side of the Don River. It served as his home until 1796, after which it was used as a farm building for decades. In 1879, to celebrate the very first Toronto Industrial Exhibition (now the CNE), the cabin was dismantled, moved, and rebuilt by the York Pioneers at its current site in Exhibition Place. Watercolour Painting Meetup

Join us for a relaxed and creative watercolour meetup at a local café. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter, all skill levels are welcome. Each session will begin with brief introductions, followed by a short overview of watercolour techniques and optional theme ideas to spark inspiration. From there, you’re free to settle in and paint—either alongside the group or in your own corner of the café, depending on seating. We’ll wrap up the meetup by coming back together for a casual show-and-tell, where anyone who’d like can share their work. The meetup is free if you bring your own supplies. If you need materials, a $5 fee will cover basic watercolour supplies. Come unwind, experiment, and connect with others through art.
