Let's Go Dancing with a Live Band on Halloween + Pre-dinner (Eglinton Station)
Sun, Nov 1, 12:00 AMOn **Saturday October 31st,** **join us for Dancing on Halloween at Function Bar + Kitchen at Eglinton Station.** I've been looking for the perfect opportunity to dance and this is it - on Halloween Night! I've booked us a table for dinner prior, so we will have a place to sit during the night. Soul Sublime will be performing live and is known to deliver an unending stream of hits and positive energy to the dance floor. The Band brings the hottest disco and R&B grooves from the ‘70s to the present day. The ensemble’s catalogue features a curated mix of dance classics from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and present-day, with their high-energy and unique renditions of Earth, Wind & Fire, ABBA, CHIC, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Beyoncé, and more. Even though this is not described as a Halloween Party, folks will be dressing up... and my costume is on its way. **COST** Dancing: $10 cover Meetup Organizer Fee: $5 **SIGNING-UP** * **RSVP Yes** **with your cell (only I can see) and confirm if you will be joining for Dinner prior.** We will need some people to join for dinner, so that we can keep our table. A reminder will be sent the day before with my cell and details where to meet and when. RSVPs close 3 days prior, hoping I can still update the reservation that late. Cancellations will result in a No Show and impact future attendance. **MEETUP TIME** **Meet me at: 8pm inside the front doors of Function Bar + Kitchen at 2291 Yonge St. We will head over to our table together. I will post the location of our table for those joining for the dance only.** **Dancing: 9:30 - 11:30pm** (people can leave whenever they wish). This Encounters event will showcase all that the violin can offer, featuring violinists **Judith Fliedl**, visiting from Austria on a Canadian tour, and Toronto-based violinist **Roan Ma**, performing a world premiere for violin duet by **André Ristic**, commissioned by Soundstreams. The program will also include works by **John Beckwith**, **Chris Paul Harman**, **Parisa Sabet**, **Ana Sokolović**.
