Desayuno de Arte con Maruja Mallo

**Maruja Mallo (1902-1995)** fue una mujer brillante y rebelde, dotada de un gran talento, que se empeñó en violar las normas sociales siempre que tuvo ocasión. Es el eslabón perdido de la historia de la vanguardia española, a menudo designada como la generación del 27. Su pintoresca vida estuvo fuertemente influida por el modernismo urbano y el renacimiento cultural que había iniciado en Madrid en la década de 1910. Dinámica del evento 1.- Bienvenida a las asistentes con un desayuno rico y saludable. 2.- Entrevista a Giselfust, entusiasta y gran conocedora de Maruja Mallo. Nos introducirá en su imaginario y en su historia a través de imágenes proyectadas y en los libros que tendréis disponibles. 3.- Cada participante pintará un pequeño lienzo en acrílico inspirado en la obra de Maruja que se llevará a casa. 4.- Nos despediremos con una pequeña sorpresita de recuerdo y con muchas ganas del siguiente desayuno de arte. FOTOGRAFÍA: Ed Templeton en la Sala Metrònom

Vamos a ver la exposición del fotógrafo y artista Ed Templeton que se celebra en la Sala Metrònom, un espacio que formó parte activa del desarrollo de la cultura barcelonesa a partir de la década de 1980. Ed Templeton (California, 1972) fue, antes que nada, un destacado *skater* profesional que, a partir de 1993, comenzó a fotografiar su entorno hasta convertirse en uno de los más emblemáticos cronistas -y creadores de imagen- de la subcultura del *skateboard.* La exposición, titulada *Tomorrow Never Comes* (“el mañana nunca llega”), es la primera muestra individual de este artista en nuestro entorno y en ella se exhibe, por una parte, una selección de su trabajo documental creado a lo largo del tiempo y, por otra, algunas imágenes concebidas para campañas publicitarias de marcas que han encontrado en esta subcultura juvenil un espléndido nicho de negocio. (Cast) LLega de nuevo una de nuestras actividades estrella de la temporada del grupo!! la **BARCELONA GALLERY WEEKEND (BGW)!!** La **12ª edición de la Barcelona Gallery Weekend se celebra en 23 galerías** de arte contemporáneo y moderno de Barcelona, que mostrarán el trabajo de 50 artistas nacionales e internacionales de mediana y larga carrera. **PLANNING:** Tenemos preparada como cada año una ruta o circuito para visitar galerías de arte cercanas entre ellas!
