# 🌊 Hamilton Waterfront & Cootes Paradise Trail Adventure Join us for a day outside Toronto as we head to Hamilton to explore the waterfront and the beautiful trails of Cootes Paradise. We'll begin along the Hamilton waterfront before making our way into Cootes Paradise, where we'll trade city streets for wooded paths, natural scenery, and a little bit of adventure. There are some hills and sections of uneven trail, so come prepared to walk — but that's part of what makes this such a great day out. This is a social adventure, not a formal tour. We're here to explore somewhere different, get some exercise, enjoy the scenery, and most importantly, spend time together. Building Hope Gala Dinner

The Shalom Catholic Community in Toronto is hosting a Building Hope Gala Dinner to raise funds for the construction of the Espaço Educativo de Paz (Educational Space for Peace) in Lubango, Angola. The Shalom mission there currently serves the local community through prayer groups, home visits, and the distribution of food to approximately 30 families. One of the greatest challenges the missionaries face is the lack of a safe and dedicated space where children and youth can gather, learn, and grow. Access to even basic medical care is also very limited. The Espaço Educativo de Paz will provide a place of hope for approximately 80 children and adolescents. It will offer educational support, vocational training, faith formation, recreational activities, and a health post to meet basic medical needs. By attending the gala dinner—or by making a donation—you can help make this project a reality and offer these young people a brighter future.

# 🌈 Rainbow Tunnel Walk ### A Hidden Piece of Toronto History, Friendship & the Moccasin Trail You may have driven along the **Don Valley Parkway** hundreds of times without realizing there was a story waiting just above you. The **Rainbow Tunnel** is one of those unusual pieces of Toronto that feels almost like a secret. Painted in 1971 by teenager **B.C. Johnson** after the death of his friend Sigred in a car accident, the colourful tunnel became a lasting tribute to friendship and loss. More than 50 years later, the artwork is still part of the landscape. Join us for an easy social walk through the **Moccasin Trail and surrounding ravine paths**, with the Rainbow Tunnel as our destination. We'll take our time, stop for photos, enjoy the trails, and learn a little about the story behind one of Toronto's more unusual landmarks. This isn't a difficult hike or a formal historical tour.
