Tarot Study Circle: The Suit of Pentacles — Money, Work & The Material World

### WEEK 6 **Tarot Study Circle: The Suit of Pentacles — Money, Work & The Material World** We've made it to the final suit! For Week 6, we'll explore the **Suit of Pentacles** and complete our journey through the Tarot. We'll study each card by looking at its **symbols, imagery, meanings, themes, and possible interpretations**. We'll also connect what we've learned throughout the previous five weeks to better understand how the different parts of the Tarot work together. This final gathering is for everyone—from someone who has never picked up a Tarot deck to experienced readers looking for a refresher. Bring your **Tarot deck, journal, notebook, and any Tarot materials** you'd like to use. By the end of this 6-week study group, our goal is for everyone to have a **stronger understanding of all 78 Tarot cards and the confidence to begin putting the cards together in a reading.** Come learn, practice, ask questions, and complete the Tarot journey with us! 🔮 **Stay Connected!** Follow us on Instagram **@SpiratualKreatives** for updates on future Tarot Study Groups, upcoming events, and more opportunities to connect with our community.

🎲 Strategy Games Only: Board Game Social at Moncha Cafe

Chess and Oware Club at Beverly Hills Le Pain Quotidien

Welcome! All levels of chess players can join whether you're a beginner or a grand master. We'll be at the big table in the middle of the restaurant. Some chess sets will be provided but feel free to bring your own equipment. Please RSVP with number of guests if you plan to attend. We play chess between 1:30 - 6:00PM. Parking is FREE on Sunday in the parking structures between Santa Monica Blvd and South Santa Monica Blvd. I look forward to seeing you all at Le Pain! Since early 2026 We've also been playing **Oware** as well and now I'm making it an official part of the club. We play the international tournament version with Abapa rules. It's very easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. So, if there are any Oware players out there, you are most welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your Oware sets if you have them. Here's some info about Oware from Google: Oware is estimated to be roughly **7,000 years old**, making it widely regarded as one of the oldest continuously played board games in human history. Oware is a famous two-player abstract strategy board game in the mancala family, originating from West Africa and widely considered the national game of Ghana. The board has 12 small pits (houses) with four seeds or beans in each, and the goal is to capture 25 or more seeds to win. **A special note to new members and first time attendees:** There are may times where it looks like the only person attending the meetup is the organizer. Don't let that throw you. We have a core group of regulars who show up every week but are allergic to RSVP-ing. Getting them to RSVP is like trying to declaw a feral cat! We also have members who are not part of meetup so they can't RSVP in the first place. When we *do* get RSVPs, you can pretty much double; sometimes even triple that number to estimate attendance. So, come check us out even when it looks like there's no one attending. Hope to see you there!

Tarot Study Circle: The Suit of Swords — Thoughts, Truth & Challenges

### WEEK 5 **Tarot Study Circle: The Suit of Swords — Thoughts, Truth & Challenges** This week, we're diving into the **Suit of Swords**! Together, we'll explore the cards of the Suit of Swords and take a closer look at their **symbols, imagery, meanings, themes, and interpretations**. The Swords can bring us into conversations about thoughts, communication, decisions, truth, conflict, challenges, and perspective. We'll explore these themes together while learning how to recognize the messages within the cards. This study group is open to **beginners, experienced readers, and everyone in between**. You don't need to have all the answers—we're here to learn together. Bring your **Tarot deck, journal, notebook, and any Tarot resources** you'd like to reference. Come ready to study, discuss, and deepen your understanding of the Swords! 🔮 **Stay Connected!** Follow us on Instagram **@SpiratualKreatives** for updates on future Tarot Study Groups, upcoming events, and more opportunities to connect with our community.

Pitch a Friend + Mahjong Night at the Iconic Clifton’s: Guys, Don’t Miss This!

RSVP required. Get your tickets here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/pitch-a-friend-mahjong Ladies get in for $1 with RSVP. Over 100 people are expected at one of Downtown LA’s most iconic spots. You’ll want to be there. Picture a full room inside Clifton’s, the legendary DTLA landmark on Broadway. Friends are on the mic pitching their single friends, the mahjong tiles are clicking, and new people are meeting all around you. This is the night people will be talking about. Don’t hear about it later. Be there. Pitch a Friend is simple. Your friends know you best, so they do the talking. They take a few minutes to share what makes you great and why someone should get to know you. Then everyone moves to the mahjong tables, where meeting people feels natural. Why guys shouldn’t miss this • 100+ people in one room. It’s one of the best chances to meet new people in DTLA, and right now we need more men to balance the room. • An iconic setting. Clifton’s is one of LA’s best-known landmarks, not your usual bar or mixer. • You don’t have to sell yourself. Your friend pitches you. You just show up. • There’s something to do. Mahjong gives you an easy reason to talk, laugh and stay at the table. No awkward standing around. • No experience needed. New players are welcome, and someone at your table will help you learn. • Come solo or bring your crew. Bring the friend who’ll pitch you, or come and we’ll make the introductions. How it works 1. Come with a friend to pitch you, or come to pitch someone else. 1. Pitches run 2–3 minutes. Keep them short, kind and funny. 1. After the pitches, everyone moves to the mahjong tables to meet each other. Details • Location: Clifton’s, Broadway, Downtown LA • Date: [Date] | Doors [time], pitches start [time] sharp • Tickets: RSVP required at zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/pitch-a-friend-mahjong • Ladies: $1 with RSVP | Guys: [price] • Expected turnout: 100+ • Open to singles of all ages 21+ [adjust as needed] Presented by DTLASIA, a project of the DTLA AAPI Alliance. Community = Culture = Power. Space is limited. Guys, get your ticket before it’s gone, and tag the friend who’s always saying “I know someone for you.”
