Wed, Sep 9, 4:30 PM**Registrations to attend the event will open two weeks before the event, on Wednesday August 26 at 11:00 Berlin time. Registrations to showcase a project are open now: scroll below for the link.** Talk & Play is a free event that provides the opportunity to game enthusiasts, players and makers to meet in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. Everybody's welcome, regardless of their background and knowledge level: if you've got any interest in games, we'll make sure you have a good time! This is NOT an event only aimed at developers. The event series is sponsored by [Happy Broccoli](https://www.happybroccoligames.com/), the Berlin indie game studio behind the Duck Detective series and the upcoming creepy-cozy mystery thriller [Apple Crumble](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4110770/Apple_Crumble/). If you'd also like to sponsor the event, [please get in touch](https://berlingamescene.com/contact)! • • • • • **HOW IT WORKS** The event is made of 2 parts: * TALK: Game-related presentations + announcements from the community * PLAY: All participants are welcome to exhibit projects they've made • • • • • **AGENDA** * **18:30** Doors open, project showcase starts * **19:30 to 20:30** Talks & community announcements * **22:00** Event ends • • • • • **THE TALK PART (PRESENTATIONS)** The talk will be announced as we get closer to the event. After the talk there will be a section dedicated to short announcements from the community, get in touch to reserve a spot: info@berlingamescene.com — same goes if your company is hiring or wants to announce something and you'd like to get a sponsored slot! • • • • • **THE PLAY PART (SHOWCASE)** Want to exhibit your (game-related) project? Sign up at https://forms.gle/vKeVBLQFYhkdsbPe6 • • • • • **ADDITIONAL INFO** Since restarting the event in 2023 we have asked attendees to wear a face mask. This requirement feels incredibly anachronistic these days so at the end of 2025 we decided to drop the requirement. That being said, **we ask everyone showing any signs of illness to be considerate and refrain from attending the event**. FFP2 masks will continue to be available at the door and we support anyone who feels like wearing one to protect themselves and others 💜 Are you attending the event for the first time, or are you coming on your own? The Talk & Play Ambassadors will be there to assist and answers any questions you have. Our Safe Space Policy http://berlingamescene.com/safe-space-policy/ encourages the behaviour at Talk & Play. We request that everyone who is affiliated with and participates to the event honours it. Our event is documented by Julian Dasgupta https://www.flickr.com/photos/12601747@N00/albums — for those who don’t want to be appear in any pictures, we're going to distribute stickers at the door to wear and signal this. Alcoholic drinks will not be sold or allowed to be consumed during the event. This event is organised by the [Gamestorm Berlin e.V.](https://gamestormcollective.org/) Get in touch if you have any questions: info@berlingamescene.com

📸 Portray and be portrayed in RAW-Gelände!
Sat, Sep 5, 7:00 AM📍 **Location:** RAW-Gelände, Friedrichshain (Berlin) 📅 **Date & Time:** 5\.09\.2065 \| **09:00 – 12:00** Let's have a "Portray and Be Portrayed" in RAW-Gelände, Berlin’s most iconic industrial cultural space -it leverages the raw, textured, and graffiti-drenched backdrops to create striking, high-contrast imagery. During this event, you'll experience both sides of the lens: **being a photographer and a model**. ➔ Please only join if you're comfortable being photographed by other participants! * We will rotate roles so there is **only one active model** at a time. * You'll work in small groups of 3–4 people * This format is inspired by our successful TFP (Time for Photos) sessions. Check out the reel from our first "Portray and Be Portrayed" event: 🔗 [View Reel](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEXHaLhKFXc/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) **👥 Participant Requirements** * **Skill Level:** Intermediate+ only. You must have prior experience with portrait photography. * Gear Restriction: **No smartphone photography.** **⚙️ What to bring** If you have it, **bring additional lighting tools** (speedlights, constant lights, or reflectors). We will be actively experimenting with creative lighting solutions to cut through shadows or contrast against the urban backdrop. **🤝 Photo Sharing & Community Guidelines** To ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask all participants to agree to the following: * **Public Social Media:** If you want to post photos to Instagram (or other public media), you **must** get mutual permission from the other party (photographer/model) first * Share your favorite photos in our Discord and WhatsApp group (we might repost your best photos - you will be fully credited/invited to collaboration) * **Give Credit:** All public posts must tag the author, the model, **@the_isoclub**, and **@_portraitscenter**. * *Tip:* We highly recommend using [PicFlow](https://picflow.com/) to easily select and finalize photos that work for both parties! **📷 Media Release & Participation Agreement (TFP Basis)** The ISO Club runs on good energy and collaboration! Because our events are built around community and creative production, we operate on a mutual "Time for Photos" (TFP) framework. By RSVPing, you agree that organizers and fellow creators can snap photos/videos of you (including cool behind-the-scenes moments) to share in our Instagram Reels and promo materials. If you prefer not to be on camera, we totally get it, but this specific meetup might not be the right fit. Intro to Improv: Presence & Spontaneity
Wed, Aug 26, 5:00 PMWednesdays, 19:00-21:30, August 26-October 14 Class Show: October 21 Prerequisites: none! ImprovWorks Berlin is excited to announce our next round of improv comedy courses! We truly believe that everyone can learn to connect with confidence - on stage and in life. Over 8 weekly classes, we explore the principles of comedic improvisation primarily through short-form games. Together, we create a conscious, supportive space where we focus on becoming good listeners, making spontaneous choices, and working together as a team. We’ll empower each other with the “Freedom to Fail,” thereby unleashing our inner creativity. The concepts of presence, agreement, trust, commitment and support are fostered through large and small group exercises. We’ll also have a ton of fun and make new friends! In the end-of-class show, you’ll get to show off all you’ve learned to an invited audience of family and friends. Wednesdays, 19:00-21:30, August 26-October 14 Class Show: October 21 Spots are limited in these small classes, so sign up soon!
