About us
Welcome to Yoga and Pranayama at North San Jose! This group is a welcoming space for anyone who would like to come together through yoga and pranayama — to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and build meaningful connections with others.
We offer both online and in-person sessions, and everyone is welcome, whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practicing for years!
✨ All sessions are completely FREE.
This space is created to make yoga and breath work accessible to everyone — for shared practice, presence, and community.
🧘♀️ What you can expect:
• Gentle, grounded yoga focused on alignment, stability, and body awareness
• Breath-led movement (not fast or flow-heavy)
• Pranayama included in every session
• Relaxation woven throughout the practice
• Sessions that feel accessible, supportive, and non-intimidating
These sessions are led by Asha, who has about 3 years of personal yoga practice and is currently wrapping up her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She is already teaching a growing community, and this group is a way to grow that community further through shared practice and connection.

The Art of Slowing Down: A Yin Yoga Workshop
Pines at North Park Apartments, 60 Descanso Dr, San Jose, CA, USWELCOME TO THE YIN YOGA WORKSHOP!
✨ This workshop is completely FREE and open to all.
Join me, Asha, for a 90 min guided Yin Yoga workshop where we slow down, stay longer, and explore deeper stretches with awareness. Unlike dynamic yoga where we move continuously, Yin Yoga invites us to hold poses for longer periods of time (typically 2–10 minutes), allowing the body to gently open while cultivating stillness, breath, and mindfulness.
Through longer supported holds, we’ll explore meaningful sensations and a sense of release across different parts of the body, while learning how to soften, breathe, and stay present within the experience. This session focusses on:- Introduction to Yin Yoga | 10 min
- Gentle Body Preparation | 10 min
- Deep Stretch & Yin Exploration | 50 min
- Relaxation & Pranayama | 10 min
- Closing Reflection | 5 min
✨ This workshop is suitable for all levels. No prior Yin Yoga experience needed.
🧱 For best experience, 2 yoga blocks will be required for this workshop. If you don’t already own them, here’s an affordable option to purchase : https://a.co/d/048YMLVN
☕️ Stay back after class for homemade chai and some relaxed conversation — a lovely way to connect and unwind together!
-------------------NOTE: We do not provide yoga mats for the session. So please bring your own mats.
