What we’re about
20s, 30s, and 40s (younger) adventure group, primarily focused around Skiing, Snowboarding, and the Outdoors. Lowest cost trips. Primarily based out of Philadelphia area, but with members who travel with us from all over USA. Goal is for new members to have a sense of community and to experience awesome trips to amazing mountains together.
Most trip coordination is done via Facebook Messenger. Please send a message to John Harper with userID jph183psu on Facebook Messenger so we can communicate easier. Often times people's Meetup settings aren't set correctly to receive emails, and if we send you a Facebook Messenger message first, it goes into a hidden section.
Please check your Meetup messenger every once in a while too, especially if you hope to attend a trip or meetup and haven't seen any communication about it.
We have some "sister" groups based in Philly, Boston, NYC, Denver with a lot of overlapping members that we hope to publish trips and events with from time to time.

The campsite is a good size but we may need to use other sites close by as well depending on how many people attend.Sunday morning we can pick one of 2 hikes:
Option 1: leave most of our gear at camp and hike south 10ish miles round trip to the pinnacle and pulpit overlooks. We'll pass by camp to pick up our gear and then hike out to our cars
Option 2: pack up and hike back to the cars, drop off gear and continue north to Dan's Pulpit overlook, about 6-7 miles round tripIf you can't join for Hawk mountain but you want to join for this backpacking/camping event feel free.
Message Adam with any questions about the event or about backpacking in general!

Food: its only one night so keep it simple: Granola bars, tuna pouches and tortilla wraps, PB&J, beef jerkey, oatmeal, dehytraded fruit, backpackers pantry/peak refuel dehydrated meals (these brands are pretty good and usually a couple bucks cheaper at Sierra)
Shoes: Hiking boots or trail shoes. I use Hoka Speed Goats

BIG SNOW AMERICAN DREAM....
Join Xplore N More for a day of skiing and riding at Big Snow in the American Dream Mall. Yes, ski season is over but that doesn't mean we have to stop! For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Big Snow is the only indoor ski/snb park in the US. Luckily for us, it's located close by, in northern NJ at the American Dream Mall right across from Metlife/Giants stadium.
We will meet at 1pm for a 2 hour session. You will need to buy your ticket ahead of time. Big Snow has worked with XNM to offer us an excellent discounted rate on tickets and rentals. This code includes access to the Slope and Snow Day rentals.
We have a special deal with the Big Snow American Dream Team offering $36 lift tickets for two hours for our event, and also $100 Six-Pack Slope Access. Here is the process:
- Go to this website: https://bigsnowad.snowcloud.shop/auth/account
- Either login, or create your account
- Click on the "Groups" icon
- Redeem Invitation Code: WLBQ5 & Pin: 0913
- Click on "XploreNmore Portal"
- Click on "View Products"

Big Snow has locker rooms where you can change and secure your gear/clothing. Your ticket gives you access to the lockers so no need to bring extra money.
Following our session, we will head upstairs to the Yard House for food and drinks.
