Island, consistently ranked Worcester's top eatery, is a family owned restaurant serving up traditional Greek recipes and fresh seafood.
Originally from the Greek island of Corfu, the owner Alex and family would love to welcome us to their cosy and authentic feeling Greek Taverna on a cool September night.

The restaurant is usually quiet in the week but can be very busy on weekends.
Hence a Wednesday night for our first foray into Greek cuisine.

Would have been the very first event, but the family close the restaurant in August and travel back to Corfu for the month.

Club Rules
Members must be aged 55 or younger, any member that is obviously aged over 55 will be removed from the group. I apologise if this sounds harsh, but this group was set up to give those younger a chance to meet new people and try Worcestershire’s best eateries.
There are dining groups in the local area that are exclusively for people aged 50 or over, but not so for those younger, hence the creation of this group.

This is a dining club not a drinking club, participants must attend events to eat food and not just drink. Members who get drunk and are deliberately offensive will be removed from the group.

This is not a walk, pub crawl or social event in which you can put your name down to attend and if you didn’t show up there would be no consequences. Therefore, no-shows will be removed from the group unless there is a valid acceptable reason for the absence, for example if you were struck by lightning on the way to the event.

Depending on the event, attendee and waitlist numbers, I may message you before the restaurant reservation is made to confirm your attendance, and afterwards with the reservation name and/or reference. As you can imagine, communication is key when organising such events.
Therefore if I do message you before the event to confirm your attendance I will need a reply in a timely fashion otherwise you may be removed. Time wasters, fake profiles, scam accounts etc etc, will not be tolerated and will be removed and banned from the group.

This is not a dating group, it's a dining group darlings. If however romantic relationships do flourish mutually within members then that is obviously fine. BUT unwanted and inappropriate communciation with other members will not be tolerated both during and outside events. Let's take a culinary adventure to Japan at Maneki Ramen, under The Arches in the city centre.

Following the success of Maneki Ramen in Worcester, Peter has since opened a second restaurant in Birmingham. However, it’s the original Maneki Ramen, situated under The Arches in Worcester’s city centre, that we’ll be visiting to tantalise our taste buds.

Impasto, best pasta and pizza in Worcester? Let's find out shall we.

Ciao, for the first of October's events I thought we would try Impasto in St Swithin's Street. A highly rated Italian restaurant in the heart of Worcester's city centre, Impasto serve up a wide choice of delicious freshly made pasta dishes and pizzas that are cooked in their traditional clay oven. Italian tapas, dirty fries and other sides compliment the menu, followed by a mouth watering selection of Italian themed desserts.
Coffee and Cannoli for afters is also an option if you don't fancy a full dessert at the end of the night.

A cosy little restaurant with seating on the ground floor and downstairs, Impasto opened its doors in early 2021 and has since been regarded as one of the best, if not the best Italian restaurant in Worcester. Their pasta is homemade and their pizzas are prepared the Neapolitan way in a traditional wood fired clay oven, for a slice of Naples right here in Worcester.

So come and join me on an early Autumn night for some fantastic Italian food and good company.

Starting at 6:30pm, this is because from Tuesday to Thursday till 7pm all of their pizzas are only £14 each. Valore ridicolo for what is probably the best pizza in Worcester.

The culinary world tour continues, from Greece to Japan then Italy, from where we steer our sails south west across the Mediterranean Sea to the shores of Morocco. All without leaving Worcester city centre!

Little Marrakesh, where decades of home style culinary traditions have been passed down to the owner and head chef Zara. Her knowledge, passion and experience has graced Worcester with authentic and exquisite North African, Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine.
