White Rock-South Surrey Bible Reading

A locust plague like no other. An imminent “Day of the LORD”. A promise of a future pouring out of the Spirit. A judgment of all the nations. How are these things connected by the prophet Joel? Join our online Bible study and let’s talk about it! We see in this Old Testament book that Israel’s experience with judgment and repentance becomes a foundation for understanding how to respond to God’s promises for the future. To help keep this study an ideal size and create the best environment for connection, for now we are limiting additional members of this group to residents of Metro Vancouver only (thanks for understanding!). Please RSVP and a Zoom link will be provided.

Daniel was a young man when he was carried away as a captive to be trained to serve in the palace of the Babylonian king. Daniel’s faith in the God who ‘rules in the kingdom of men’ (4:17) gave him strength to avoid assimilating with the idolatrous world around him, and the revelations he received remind us that God ‘reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.’ (2:22). Even if you've heard the story of "Daniel and the Lion's Den" before, you might be surprised at how much more there is to learn in the full Book of Daniel. Come check out this Bible study and see what our group is about! Feel free to join in on any or all of the sessions.
