Latin Dance Meetup

Learn fun and creepy choreography based on the iconic Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) possessed dinner scene, as well as the ending Jump in the Line (Shake Senora) dance! We'll then bring it to life together during a special movie screening.

The evening includes themed snacks and beverages, a costume contest with prizes, and the chance to perform the choreography in real time alongside the film, as well as social dancing to songs from the movie and other spooky classics.

Have fun, get moving, and make new friends while learning traditional Latin club dances—Bachata and Salsa On 2—in a friendly, supportive environment. These classes are attended by a dedicated group of regular dancers, even if the Meetup RSVP count looks low.

Taught by Pablo Sanchez, who is fluent in Spanish and English, each class begins with patterns taught solo before progressing to partner work. This course is ideal for dancers who already know the basics and are ready to build toward more complex patterns.

No partner needed—we rotate frequently, and dancers can lead, follow, or do both. If you’re brand new to Latin club dances, we recommend starting with our Monday night Level 1 class.

Make new friends and get a great workout while learning the basics of traditional Bachata in a friendly, supportive environment. These classes have a dedicated group of regular dancers, even if the Meetup RSVP count looks low—so you can expect a welcoming, social class.

You’ll learn patterns solo before moving into partner work to build confidence and technique. Pablo, your instructor, is fluent in Spanish and English.

Bachata Basics is perfect for beginners. Level 1 is for dancers with a solid grasp of the fundamentals who are ready for a faster pace and more complex patterns built on those basics.
