Hi all, cost & info below, please join everyone for a fun, 2 mile circular music walking tour about the famous music icons that roamed Soho, with the original songs played on stereo speakers from the Human Jukebox!
We are also honoured to have 'Singing Streets' creator Worth Wagers join us as co-host on this iconic Music Soho Tour. Singing Streets is the most comprehensive music location app in the World.
Highlights of the walk, the famous tin pan alley 'Denmark Street' where the famous musicians frequainted amongst the numerous music publishing houses, recording studios, music shops and meeting in bars, where television was first demonstrated and instrumental in how we saw music being performed on TV and music videos station such as MTV instead of only radio, where British Rock 'n' Roll started and famous bands performed, where Jimi Hendrix performed for the first time in the UK and where Paul McCartney met Linda.
A small basement club where Paul Simon and Bob Dylan performed in the 60's, site of Stringfellows where stars roamed, the last venue Keith Moon attended on the night he died, Sex Pistols first gig, the 60's tailors that clothed the Beatles and famous Beatle Boots and where they perfromed their first gig in London, the famous Marquee Club, music studios where some of the most famous songs ever were recorded on the Planet and also Music from the Human jukebox (Me!)
Oasis album cover site, Carnaby Street the famous fashion street for music icons and clothing, famous music nightclubs and venues and electrifying stories of the famous musicians that roamed Soho daytime and after dark!
Continuing our wonderful music connection there will be drinks after at the London Hippodrome where famous singers such as Diana Ross and the Supremes, Judy Garland, Fran Sinatra, The Carpenters, Jackson 5 with Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Sammy Davis Jnr performed!

The 2 mile circular walk starts and ends at The London Hippodrome seconds from Leicester Square Underground Station. Please meet by the side of the building of the London Hippodrome (it is next to the front door leading to Leicester Square, where it is quieter and not on the main road side. The main front entrance of the Hippodrome is directly opposite the main Leicester Square Underground Station
Soho is an area of the City of Westminster, part of the West End of London. Originally a fashionable district for the aristocracy, it has been one of the main entertainment districts in the capital since the 19th century.
Since the 1980s, the area has undergone considerable gentrification.
The name "Soho" first appears in the 17th century. The name may possibly derive from a former hunting cry. James Scott, 1st Duke of Monmouth, used "soho" as a rallying call for his men at the Battle of Sedgemoor on 6 July 1685, half a century after the name was first used for this area of London.
ABOUT OUR SECRET LONDON WALKS
It is a 15-year fascinating journey together to explore the whole of beautiful, enchanting Secret London. The only walking group in the World offering this unique experience!
The individual walks have been created from an original route several miles in length (usually on average about 25 miles) where we have checked every nook and cranny, every hidden alleyway, lane, lost cobbled path, cul de sac, avenue, road or street in that area for you! It is then shortened, to give back to you a magical walk with all the best bits of 'Lovely London', voted the best City in the World for the 10th year running!
What is given back to you is the most scenic, healthy walk (usually 3-6 miles in length) with some of the walks containing hidden cobbled lanes, lost shops, secret gems, areas lost in time, wonderful views, idyllic Instagram photo shots and all sorts! Now and then some brief local info is mentioned or something of historical importance along the way.
You will have plenty of time to chat and meet new friends whilst walking the amazing lost areas of London! So we welcome you to the colourful highlights of this fascinating City of London with simply wonderful things to see!

Members attend the unique walks from our different meetup groups.
IF LATE, SORRY WE ARE UNABLE TO RECEIVE CALLS OR ANSWER EMAILS AS WELCOMING MEMBERS, LEADING THE WALK, AND CONCENTRATING ON THE SAFETY OF THE GROUP. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CATCH THE GROUP UP, PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
Part Tour - Medium pace walk from 'Visit England' Award-Winning Guide and our group featured in the National Press! Please Note: Some events, being a large attended meetup group will be an organised walk only, but members are very welcome to organise their own get-togethers after the event.
You are required to be fit and healthy with appropriate footwear & clothing, responsible for meeting at the correct location, own safety and to not lose the group by viewing the organiser/making the organiser aware as much as possible, or follow/not lose sight of the person(s) from the same walk in front. We advise carrying water and some snacks.
The organiser is also not responsible for any circumstances that may affect the group or personally such as personal accidents, rail information, engineering works, cancellations, rail strikes or delays, heavy traffic, tours affected, weather, walk paths or routes closed, postcodes for car parks or for when we arrive back at the station, or anything else not mentioned!
