Are you dragon boat curious? Interested to meet this welcoming and supportive team to learn ( maybe even finetune) dragon boating skills? Then this is your chance!
Join the Valkyrie Dragons for Technique Tuesday! Our coaches will help you to learn this stroke, pulling deep from your core, and paddling in time with these amazing women.

We offer two free practices for first timers! For paid-up members of the club, there is no cost.

We practice rain or shine, except when conditions are unsafe (too hot, too cold, too windy, or thunderstorms).
What to Bring?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, so that you can join us for a warmup. We recommend that you:
- wear something that you don't mind getting wet, and that you can move comfortably in
- wear good water shoes (with a grip!)
- put on sunblock!
- on rainy days, wear a light raincoat or rain pants
We will provide you with a paddle and a PFD (life jacket).

Once you've mastered the basics (check out our Dragon Boating Technique Tuesday practice), you are welcome to join the Valkyrie Dragons for their advanced in-boat practice!
Here, you will work with this welcoming and supportive team to continue to develop your skills and endurance so you are ready to RACE! If you are unsure you are ready to move into this practice, please talk to our coaches.

Once you've mastered the basics (check out our Dragon Boating Technique Tuesday practice), you are welcome to join the Valkyrie Dragons for their mixed skill boat practice! For this practice, you should be ready to work on your endurance with a more intensive set of drills. This will be the platform for building up to being RACE-READY!
If you are unsure you are ready to move into this practice, please talk to our coaches.
