Because being a grown-up doesn’t mean we have to act like it.
Welcome to Unsupervised Adults, the group where adulting goes out the window and fun takes center stage. This is your permission slip to laugh too loud, dance like nobody’s watching, and say yes to new adventures.
One week it might be karaoke or trivia, the next it’s game night, hiking, happy hours, or something totally unexpected. As we grow, members can even pitch in and host their own ideas — the more wild and creative, the better.
Here’s what we’re about:
- Fun first — if it makes you smile, we’re doing it.
- All are welcome — singles, couples, all genders, all identities.
- A safe, inclusive space — no drama, no creepers, no pressure.
- Real connections — come for the activities, stay for the friendships.
- 21+ only — because sometimes fun comes with cocktails (and we like to keep it grown-up).
We’re not a meat market, we’re not about heavy topics, and we’re definitely not here to be “serious.” Life already gives us enough of that. This is where you drop your insecurities at the door, let your playful side out, and remember what it feels like to just enjoy yourself.
Warning: side effects may include spontaneous laughter, new best friends, and sore cheeks from smiling too much. Come get a little unsupervised with us — you’ve earned it.

We're back! 🎉 It’s been a few months since our last Unsupervised Adults event, and what better way to get back at it than with beer, brats, live music, dancing, and Oktoberfest shenanigans?
This one is intentionally SUPER casual and low-key. Think less "organized Meetup" and more "Hey, we're going to Oktoberfest — come join the fun!" 🍻### 👋 Want to Meet Us?
Joe and I will be at the high-top tables right outside the VIP entrance from 3:30–4:00 PM. I'll be wearing my Unsupervised Adults name tag, so come over and say hi!
At 4:00 PM, the VIP area opens and Joe and I will head inside to find our seats and get settled.
After that, you're officially unsupervised. 😈
There is no group itinerary, roll call, formal check-in, or designated place where everyone needs to stay together. Come when you want, leave when you want, grab a beer, find some food, listen to music, dance, wander around, and enjoy Oktoberfest however you'd like.
And if you spot me later — especially on the dance floor 💃 — come say hi!### 🎟️ Tickets
Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own admission.

Joe and I have tickets for the VIP area, but you absolutely do not need VIP tickets to attend this Meetup. Please choose whatever admission option works best for you.
You're also responsible for your own tickets, food, drinks, transportation, purchases, and other expenses.### 👨👩👧 Bringing the Family?
Unsupervised Adults is a 21+ Meetup group, but Oktoberfest Northwest is an all-ages event during part of the day.
Since this is an informal, do-your-own-thing outing rather than one of our actively hosted Meetups, you're welcome to bring your family along.
Just keep in mind that the VIP area is 21+, and Oktoberfest has its own age restrictions and policies throughout the event. Please check the official event website for the current rules when purchasing your tickets.### 🍺 A Few Unsupervised Ground Rules
This event is about having fun and enjoying Oktoberfest your way. There won't be the usual Unsupervised Adults name tags for attendees or an organized group check-in.
As always, everyone is responsible for their own behavior, expenses, transportation, alcohol consumption, and personal safety. Please celebrate responsibly and respect the venue, other festival guests, and each other.### 🥨 The Bottom Line
