Unity teaches that each person is a unique expression of God created with sacred worth. Living from that awareness transforms our lives and the world.
Unity emphasizes the creative power of thought in our life experience. We refer to this as the Law of Mind Action. When we take personal responsibility to choose life affirming thoughts, words and actions, we experience a more fulfilling and abundant life.
Unity emphasizes the importance of applying spiritual principles in our daily lives.
Unity teachings continue to evolve as we identify, embrace and apply spiritual insights and the spiritual implications of new discoveries.
Unity is a non-denominational Christ-based community and, as its name implies, welcomes and cherishes all people. Our greeting to each other is “Namaste,” meaning “I behold the Light in You.”
Our Vision is: Centered in Divine Love we celebrate a spiritually transformed world.
Our Mission is: Unity of Greater Portland reaches in to reach out through education, service and creation of community.

Grief affects each of us differently, and finding a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect can be an important part of the healing process. Grief Yoga uses gentle movement, breathwork, and sound to help release emotional tension and create space for calm and clarity. This class is designed for anyone experiencing loss, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm. Each one-hour session offers simple yoga poses, grounding breath practices, and guided relaxation. The focus is not on physical ability, but on supporting your emotional well-being through compassionate, intentional movement. No yoga experience is required.
