Interested in backpacking but not sure where to start? Looking for inspiration for your next big goal? Interested in connecting with like minded adventurers? Welcome to our TSX Challenge Meetup Group where we hold regular, online classes and events on backpacking and the outdoors that are free to join, informative, and open to all ages and experience levels. You can join our group from anywhere across the country, or the world, and get inspired for your next big adventure.

About TSX Challenge:
TSX Challenge leads guided backpacking experiences through the Sierra, Grand Canyon, Lost Coast and beyond, for all ages and experience levels. Each backpacking challenge traverses breathtaking terrain and is completely unplugged. While our treks can be intense, no prior backpacking experience is required. Just bring your mental toughness, positive attitude and be ready for an experience that will inspire you for the rest of your life.

Our Online Classes & Events:
We provide free online classes and events on a weekly basis via Zoom to help educate and inspire people about backpacking. Whether you are new to the outdoors or an experienced adventurer, get inspired by joining a TSX online event that’s right for you!

Get inspired to complete a Trans-Sierra trek to the highest peak in the contiguous U.S, Mt. Whitney (14,505′).

Co-founder of the Trans-Sierra Xtreme (TSX) Challenge, Chris Casado is passionate about exploring the Sierra backcountry. He has spent countless summers camping in secluded lakes basins, crossing high alpine passes, following rushing rivers, and climbing majestic peaks. Join Chris for a presentation of his favorite trans-Sierra adventure, a week-long 75-mile journey across remote sections of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks to the summit of Mt. Whitney (14,505 feet). Learn the nuts and bolts of preparing for a multi-day backcountry trek, including gear, permits, Leave No Trace principles, and weather and safety considerations. Find out how motivated individuals of all ages can safely and confidently venture into the rugged beauty and tranquility of the Sierra.
